Jessie couldn’t think of what she was doing. All she could think of was responding to one question after another. Several people kept coming to her to verify the things they needed to do. They brought concerns about where missing people were. They expected her to have answers to solve their problems and concerns. Lily and Joyce were right there beside her. Three hundred-plus people were relying on them to form a safe place where they could live together. Only one or two people found an issue with finding space for the new members to stay.

Lily arranged groups to track down the missing members. Joyce found volunteers to call missing members. Bonnie worked on getting the new members ready to move. She recorded where everyone went in case of emergency or disaster.
