The hospital was in chaos, nurses ran back and forth, and every second felt like it was hanging by a thin, shaking thread.

The air smelled of medicine, fear, and sweat. Too many lives were fighting to stay alive at once.

A doctor stepped out, her face drained of colour, forehead dripping with sweat. Her breathing was harsh like she had just come out of a war. She pulled off her gloves with trembling fingers as Adrian hurried toward her.
