By the time anyone reacted, blood had already flooded the floor.

"Guards! Get in here! Kill this crazy woman!"

One of the nobles touched something warm and sticky. When he realized it was blood, he sobered up in an instant and screamed for the guards to seize Anya.

But by the time the guards rushed in, the man was already dead.

Anya was run through by a spear, and in that single moment, all her strength and hope drained away.

Everyone she had ever loved in this world was gone. In a way, she had avenged them all. It was finally time for her to go.

With her last breath, she crawled across the icy floor toward her daughter.
