MasukThe Boss sat peering at a distance. “She’s radiant—alive in a way I’d never seen. I can’t look away; my heart is pounding as she laughed with the men I had assigned to take care of her.”
Then Diamante called out, “Do you want to race to the water?”
“Yes!” I grinned, adrenaline already surging.
We sprinted for the waves, their laughter mixing with mine as we crashed into the surf. The guys beat me to the water—barely—but that’s where I came alive. I dove in, flipping and gliding as if I belonged to the sea. Years on the swimming team had made the water my second home. Blaze and Diamante tried to keep up, but I left them both in my wake, grinning at their stunned faces.
Every splash, every laugh made me forget the world I’d left behind. In this paradise, for the first time, I was seen—no work, no worries, no Mark—just freedom and the thrill of being truly alive.
I’d spent years of my young womanhood dreaming of romance. Desiring to be treated as special, with respect and love from men.
Now, I was living it.
I had to let it soak in that this wasn’t a dream, but it was really happening to me. As that thought hit, Diamante swept me up and tossed me, laughing, back into the sea.
I held my breath, slipping beneath the surface. Let them sweat a little, I thought. Their shouts echoed through the water—panic, real and raw. I popped up behind them, shoving them under, dissolving all our fears in laughter. Diamante scooped me up, carrying me to shore, while Blaze glared, equal parts relief and frustration.
“You should’ve seen your faces! How did you fall for my trick twice?” I laughed, exhilarated.
Blaze’s eyes darkened. “You scared me, Charlize.” I took his hand, heart pounding, and murmured an apology.
“I was just having fun. Payback for tossing me in!” I grinned. Blaze squeezed my hand, his voice unexpectedly soft. “I told you last night—I’m your protector. Don’t scare me like that again, okay?”
I nodded. “Okay. I promise.” Blaze’s grip lingered. “Our boss would never forgive us if something happened to you.”
His eyes burned into mine.
“Who is this boss you two keep talking about?” I teased, looking around. “I haven’t seen him once!”
Blaze shook his head, apparently upset, tugging me back to our umbrella. Diamante sat on the towel, staring out at the sea, avoiding my gaze.
He wouldn’t look at me. I tried to lighten the mood, but it hung heavily between us.
Finally, Diamante spoke, voice low. “Charlize… what are you feeling since you’ve been here? Tell us, what are your feelings now that you are here with us in Pleasure Paradise?”
I hesitated. “I don’t know. What about you two?”
Diamante scooted closer, his arm brushing mine. “We care about you—a lot. You could be the start of something new for us, even a new life. It could be all yours. We can’t let anything happen to you.”
“A new life? What does that even mean?” I laughed, but his eyes were so intense it made my heart stutter. I couldn’t look away.
“This is just a vacation. It feels like a new world, sure, but I can’t stay. I can’t let this... go past friendship.”
But as soon as the word ‘friendship’ left my mouth, Blaze leaned in—his lips brushing against mine, setting a fire loose in my chest. For a heartbeat, nothing else mattered.
I gave in and kissed him back, then I felt Diamante’s lips on my neck, electric and unexpected. I turned, drawn to Diamante, kissing him with a hunger I didn’t know I had. Then I broke away, breathless.
“What on earth am I doing?”
Blaze leaned back, voice rough. “You’re right. What are we doing? You belong to someone else.”
“Do I? He abandoned me last night—I don’t belong to anyone. But I can’t choose between you two or accept any of this.”
Diamante shook his head. “We didn’t plan for this; it happened. How can we explain it to…?”
“Explain what to whom? Are you talking about your Boss?” I asked.
Diamante’s eyes softened. “You’ve been prepared. We’re going to miss you, our queen.”
“Wait! What are you talking about? Where are you going?” I grabbed Blaze’s arm. “You said you’d protect me!”
Blaze pulled away. “I have. But now I must protect you from myself. You’re meant for someone else—and he’s coming for you. Trust him, as you trusted us.”
I shook my head, heart pounding, holding on to Blaze’s broad shoulders. “I can’t! Whoever he is, it’ll never work. I don’t even know him—you two are the ones who rescued me.”
Diamante’s voice was gentle. “No. We only did what he asked. He rescued you. Don’t fight it, Charlize. We were only here to help you open your heart.”
Blaze broke free from my grasp, turning away. Tears threatened.
“I don’t want to talk about this. I’ll see you tonight at dinner.”
Blaze’s voice was quiet. “Don’t make this harder, Charlize. Could you really choose between us?”
I shook my head. “I need more time. I like you both.”
Blaze forced a smile. “We’re just friends. Whatever it takes to keep you happy at Pleasure Paradise.”
I wanted to protest, but Diamante squeezed my hands. “We can’t have feelings for you. The Boss makes the first choice. It’s not what you want to hear, but that’s the way it is.”
“So, you two just led me on and played with my emotions?”
Diamante’s voice was pleading. “No. He’s… more than us. You have to trust us.” He lifted my chin, forehead touching mine. “Don’t cry. We’ll talk more at dinner.”
We sat in silence. Blaze poured me another glass of that sweet tropical drink. I sipped, trying to calm my racing heart.
“You need to rest. Tonight will change everything,” Diamante murmured.
We lay back together, silently heavy. Blaze’s voice was soft. “Just relax, our queen.”
I stared up at the sky, heart pounding, until exhaustion finally won out. I drifted to sleep in between the two men, feeling safe and yet insecure as questions whirled in my mind.
Blaze (whispering): “I knew it would be hard—for her and for us. Take her back to her bungalow and put her to bed. She’s the Boss’s lady. We need to back off. If he knew how we felt…”
Diamante nodded, lifting me gently. As he carried me away, none of us saw the shadowy figure in the distance—all along the Boss, watching through his binoculars, plotting his next move.
“Too bad I can’t have you right now,” Blaze murmured, glancing around conspiratorially before stealing a kiss—and then another, his hands roaming boldly. It was reckless, thrilling, and the man he used to be took whatever he wanted. He seemed to have vanished when he was near her. He’d always been careful, always loyal. But this was about love, love for one woman, Charlize, and he wanted to break all the rules if it meant he could be with her.But it was dark, and the only thing you could see was the stars reflecting off the water.“Wait, wait, babe,” Charlize mumbled, smiling, while his lips still moved hungrily against the soft skin on her breast.“Mm...” Blaze mumbled as his lips gradually stopped moving until they reached hers, lightly pressing against them. He opened his eyes and saw the stars and moon above. He smiled softly, pecking them again, then backed up and took her hand, sliding it up her inner thigh. Charlize squirmed as she took hold of his fingers and surprisingly smi
Blaze’s heart sped up as he took in a deep breath. Charlize gazed over her shoulder at him with those beautiful sable eyes. She felt his chest inhale and exhale against her back.Charlize turned around, facing him, gently placing her hands flat against his chest. Blaze saw the serene look in her eyes, saying something different from her words. He could see she didn’t feel uneasy and that she was letting her guard down. In that moment, Blaze felt she might just surrender her heart to him. It was something he had been dreaming about lately, being within her heart, but he was waiting for her to invite him in.But will she?Blaze, a responsible man, knew how deep she was in this. He didn’t take it lightly; it was her decision, and hers alone. But he knew what he was offering her. He felt the weight of being fully responsible for her fragile heart if she selected him.He felt honored and saw it as a privilege to be the one she was submitting her heart to, but he wanted her heart to be full
Charlize’s heart hammered in her chest the moment Blaze walked into the candlelit room—a vision so magnetic the world seemed to tilt. Every nerve in her body sparked with life, anticipation, and fear, electrifying her veins. This was it. This was the moment everything would change.“I have this vision of you in my head, and I can’t talk about it.” He chuckled. “I love what I see... and what you are doing to me.”Charlize softly gasped, smiling, as he stole her breath away. She put her hand over her mouth. “Blaze!”“I know I requested you tell me one thing. But you got me curious now. What’s your next thought?” Even though Charlize wanted to hear more, she didn’t know if she could handle it. With him looking so fine and sexy, talking in this manner would be too much for any girl to handle.“Well... it’s time for you to come home to me.”Charlize leaned forward, truly curious now. Then, with her eyes peering intently at him, she asked.“Home where?”“My home......I want you to be my fam
A crisp black envelope, trimmed in silver, waited on Charlize’s door. She barely finished reading the first line—Where dreams come true—before her heart skipped. Ball gowns. Tuxes. A night of gliding across the dance floor, of promises whispered with the ocean breeze. The invitation was pure temptation. “Will you be my partner this Saturday?” She was already reaching for her favorite dress. The only rule you need to be concerned with is saying yes to a night of fun as I drench you in romance! We will have an adventure as we sail across the ocean.I want this date to be one you’ll never forget. Forever Blaze ~Charlize couldn’t hide her smile. “Blaze, you really know how to sweep a girl off her feet.”That evening, Blaze arrived with no rough edges, exposed muscles, or tattoos. He looked devastatingly handsome in an all-black tuxedo. He carried himself with the confidence of a man who’d come to win her heart, not just impress her. Charlize’s heart stuttered at the sight of him, heat r
Charlize barely had time to catch her breath before sultry music filled the air—Diamante’s doing. She realized he wasn’t there to play around with her as he gave her this wicked grin. In a heartbeat, he began to move slowly and salaciously, deliberate, a tease bordering on reckless. He started to undress, and her heart hammered, nerves ricocheting into excitement. She couldn’t look away. Tonight, nothing would stay hidden.Diamante froze—a first for him. Dancing came easy, but tonight he was off-balance, undone by the way she watched him. Still, he flashed a cocky smile and started unbuttoning his shirt, slow enough for her to whisper, “Hurry, baby.” Every move was a dare. He watched her body react, the air between them charged with wild hunger. It hit him: they both wanted the same thing. Her gaze locked on the way his hips rolled, every movement both loose, sensual, and filled with hunger. Diamante’s lean, muscled frame was on full display. Once he got going, he was impossible to lo
A sharp rap at her door yanked Charlize from tangled dreams. She barely had time to process the heat lingering from last night’s kiss when a new voice—warm, playful—cut through the morning. The sun was up, but her heart was still racing. Today would not let her hide from trouble, or romance, for long.“Good morning, sunshine!” Diamante said, standing outside Charlize’s bungalow door.Light poured through the glass as Charlize blinked awake. There he was—a tall, charming figure, backlit by the sun, grinning at her door. She tried to push the memory of last night’s stolen heat aside, but it clung to her skin. No time to breathe. No time to forget. Another pulse of possibility waited on the threshold.Diamante, the youngest of the group, had to stand out. He had one shot to make her forget every other man. A bold move—something unforgettable—would be the only way.Diamante said, “Today is our day together, without any restrictions. Are you ready for some fun?”“Wait a minute, Mr. no rest
