LOGINI jolted awake in my bungalow, heart hammering in a panic. How did I get here? Why did I fall asleep so suddenly? I had been out cold as if under some kind of influence. The fear was overwhelming, tears prickling my eyes as reality crashed in—abandoned on this island, surrounded by men, with no clue why or if I’d ever get home.
Panic clawed at my chest. I shot a glance at the window—still daylight. I had to escape before nightfall. My body moved on with instinct: out of bed, out the door, running. Who was I kidding? This wasn’t paradise—it was some kind of invisible cage, and I was the only woman here. If I didn’t get away, no one would know what had happened to me. My friends and family no doubt think I won some luxury prizes and am on vacation with Mark, enjoying myself. That’s so far from the truth as to what has happened to me.
I bolted from the bungalow, skirting the beach. If Blaze or Diamante saw me, they’d try to stop me—or worse. The trust I’m feeling must be a mistake. I was the only woman here, and that fact pressed on me like a warning. Once in the forest, my steps slowed, awed by my surroundings and yet frightened and filled with fear. Sunlight filtered through the trees, and for a heartbeat, I let myself marvel at the wild beauty. But I couldn’t forget why I was running.
For the first time, I really saw the place—lush, vibrant, alive. Every sense was heightened. I hoped to find the bridge I’d seen before, maybe a way out, but a new trail lured me deeper into the woods.
Curiosity wars with my fears as the path twisted upward. Maybe there’d be a waterfall—my first ever. The thought propelled me forward, even as my lungs burned. I stopped for breath; the wind cooled my skin, but my feet wouldn’t let me rest. I pressed on, deeper and higher into the wild.
The path grew narrow, shadows thickening as trees crowded in. Maybe Blaze or Diamante had walked here before, but now it was just me and the hush of the forest.
A faint rustle made me freeze. Probably just the wind, I told myself, but my nerves sang with tension. Flowers in every color lined the path, their scent both calming and dizzying.
Lost in the sights and smells, I didn’t notice how far I’d gone—until the rustling came again, louder, from the right. My breath caught.
I froze, heart pounding. Suddenly, idyllic nature felt dangerous. Wild animals—bears, feral cats, boars—might be out here. I strained to listen, every instinct screaming for me to run or hide.
Or—what if it wasn’t an animal? Water babbled nearby, masking the source of the noise. Curiosity pulled me closer, step by silent step.
I gasped at what I saw.
Not a beast, but a man—
Muscles rippled across his back and shoulders, slick from the waterfall. I blinked, hardly believing my eyes—or my nerves.
It was another man.
Not Blaze. Not Diamante. Someone new.
My hand flew to my mouth, stifling a louder gasp.
I was rooted to the spot, unable to look away. I ran approving eyes over his lean hips, firm backside, and thighs. Those powerful shoulders with a sunburst birthmark in the middle of his spine.
Whoever he was, this man was gloriously made.
The man bathed under the waterfall—beautiful, raw, utterly unexpected.
He was tall, his hair dark and close-cropped, his back broad and powerful with a V-shaped waistline. My gaze slid down a perfect V-cut waist to—oh God—an impossibly sculpted body.
He bent, muscles flexing, and my heart tumbled into my stomach.
Oh My. My, my, me.
I did my best to stifle my utterances, backing away. Leaves crunched underfoot. His head snapped toward me, eyes searching for the shadows.
I froze, barely breathing. Please don’t see me, I begged silently.
I pressed myself against the tree, skin prickling as he looked my way. I tried not to stare, but as he stepped from the waterfall, I caught a forbidden glimpse—heat flooding my cheeks.
Oh my God. He was… impressive. My mouth dropped open, brain short-circuiting.
In all my twenty-eight years, I’d never seen anything like this outside of a movie. I’d always waited, fantasizing about the right man—someone who would want all of me, not just my body.
Heat pooled low in my belly. I wanted more than fantasy—I wanted him.
Real, tangible, searing urges and cravings.
I hate to admit it, but for the first time I could somewhat relate to a man and how he may feel when he sees us females.
But what I saw now—God, it woke something in me I thought was dead.
Could he be the “One” Blaze and Diamante spoke of? Or was I just another pawn in their strange, beautiful game?
Fear and excitement tangled inside me. I risked a glance—he was gone. Vanished. I didn’t wait to see if he’d return. I bolted, sprinting back through the trees, lungs burning, heart racing.
The moment my feet hit the sand, I knew nothing would ever be the same in my mind and body.

Later, I stared into the bathroom mirror, breathless. My mind circled back to the stranger in the waterfall.
Why couldn’t I stop thinking about him? About the way he looked at me, even if just for a second.
So many thoughts and clear pictures floated in and out of my brain.
He was even sexier than Blaze or Diamante. What was he doing out there? Why were all these gorgeous men living in such wild seclusion? And why me? The questions spun, dizzying.
He might be the “One.” Or maybe I was just being held here for him, for some reason I couldn’t fathom. I didn’t want to believe it, but now the central mystery burned: What did these men want from me?
And why was I particularly curious about this one, and wanting them equally as much?
“Too bad I can’t have you right now,” Blaze murmured, glancing around conspiratorially before stealing a kiss—and then another, his hands roaming boldly. It was reckless, thrilling, and the man he used to be took whatever he wanted. He seemed to have vanished when he was near her. He’d always been careful, always loyal. But this was about love, love for one woman, Charlize, and he wanted to break all the rules if it meant he could be with her.But it was dark, and the only thing you could see was the stars reflecting off the water.“Wait, wait, babe,” Charlize mumbled, smiling, while his lips still moved hungrily against the soft skin on her breast.“Mm...” Blaze mumbled as his lips gradually stopped moving until they reached hers, lightly pressing against them. He opened his eyes and saw the stars and moon above. He smiled softly, pecking them again, then backed up and took her hand, sliding it up her inner thigh. Charlize squirmed as she took hold of his fingers and surprisingly smi
Blaze’s heart sped up as he took in a deep breath. Charlize gazed over her shoulder at him with those beautiful sable eyes. She felt his chest inhale and exhale against her back.Charlize turned around, facing him, gently placing her hands flat against his chest. Blaze saw the serene look in her eyes, saying something different from her words. He could see she didn’t feel uneasy and that she was letting her guard down. In that moment, Blaze felt she might just surrender her heart to him. It was something he had been dreaming about lately, being within her heart, but he was waiting for her to invite him in.But will she?Blaze, a responsible man, knew how deep she was in this. He didn’t take it lightly; it was her decision, and hers alone. But he knew what he was offering her. He felt the weight of being fully responsible for her fragile heart if she selected him.He felt honored and saw it as a privilege to be the one she was submitting her heart to, but he wanted her heart to be full
Charlize’s heart hammered in her chest the moment Blaze walked into the candlelit room—a vision so magnetic the world seemed to tilt. Every nerve in her body sparked with life, anticipation, and fear, electrifying her veins. This was it. This was the moment everything would change.“I have this vision of you in my head, and I can’t talk about it.” He chuckled. “I love what I see... and what you are doing to me.”Charlize softly gasped, smiling, as he stole her breath away. She put her hand over her mouth. “Blaze!”“I know I requested you tell me one thing. But you got me curious now. What’s your next thought?” Even though Charlize wanted to hear more, she didn’t know if she could handle it. With him looking so fine and sexy, talking in this manner would be too much for any girl to handle.“Well... it’s time for you to come home to me.”Charlize leaned forward, truly curious now. Then, with her eyes peering intently at him, she asked.“Home where?”“My home......I want you to be my fam
A crisp black envelope, trimmed in silver, waited on Charlize’s door. She barely finished reading the first line—Where dreams come true—before her heart skipped. Ball gowns. Tuxes. A night of gliding across the dance floor, of promises whispered with the ocean breeze. The invitation was pure temptation. “Will you be my partner this Saturday?” She was already reaching for her favorite dress. The only rule you need to be concerned with is saying yes to a night of fun as I drench you in romance! We will have an adventure as we sail across the ocean.I want this date to be one you’ll never forget. Forever Blaze ~Charlize couldn’t hide her smile. “Blaze, you really know how to sweep a girl off her feet.”That evening, Blaze arrived with no rough edges, exposed muscles, or tattoos. He looked devastatingly handsome in an all-black tuxedo. He carried himself with the confidence of a man who’d come to win her heart, not just impress her. Charlize’s heart stuttered at the sight of him, heat r
Charlize barely had time to catch her breath before sultry music filled the air—Diamante’s doing. She realized he wasn’t there to play around with her as he gave her this wicked grin. In a heartbeat, he began to move slowly and salaciously, deliberate, a tease bordering on reckless. He started to undress, and her heart hammered, nerves ricocheting into excitement. She couldn’t look away. Tonight, nothing would stay hidden.Diamante froze—a first for him. Dancing came easy, but tonight he was off-balance, undone by the way she watched him. Still, he flashed a cocky smile and started unbuttoning his shirt, slow enough for her to whisper, “Hurry, baby.” Every move was a dare. He watched her body react, the air between them charged with wild hunger. It hit him: they both wanted the same thing. Her gaze locked on the way his hips rolled, every movement both loose, sensual, and filled with hunger. Diamante’s lean, muscled frame was on full display. Once he got going, he was impossible to lo
A sharp rap at her door yanked Charlize from tangled dreams. She barely had time to process the heat lingering from last night’s kiss when a new voice—warm, playful—cut through the morning. The sun was up, but her heart was still racing. Today would not let her hide from trouble, or romance, for long.“Good morning, sunshine!” Diamante said, standing outside Charlize’s bungalow door.Light poured through the glass as Charlize blinked awake. There he was—a tall, charming figure, backlit by the sun, grinning at her door. She tried to push the memory of last night’s stolen heat aside, but it clung to her skin. No time to breathe. No time to forget. Another pulse of possibility waited on the threshold.Diamante, the youngest of the group, had to stand out. He had one shot to make her forget every other man. A bold move—something unforgettable—would be the only way.Diamante said, “Today is our day together, without any restrictions. Are you ready for some fun?”“Wait a minute, Mr. no rest
