Grant's Pov

I walked into the room where I kept Kat. It would not have come to this if she had not tried to escape. As I entered the room, an awful smell passed through my nose.

What the hell! My mate lay sprawled on the cold floor. I quickly ran to her and touched her face. It was cold.

I felt her pulse. It was weak but still there. I looked around the room. The awful smell was coming out from the food she refused to eat. Were they not taking care of her while I was away?

I lifted her and stood up. This room was no place for my mate. It reeked of blood and spoiled food. I noticed the chains used to bind her had cut her skin. My wolf growled angrily.

They had hurt our mate. How would she ever accept me if these stupid wolves kept on hurting her? I shook my head.

I walked out of the room with Kat in my arms. Vic, who stood by the door, waiting for me looked shocked.
