I tousled my hair and slumped back in my chair, defeated by my own love for her. "Can you tell me what you want to talk about?" I asked gently. She continued to cry as she stared at the table, her chin resting on her palm.

I suddenly felt sad for her plight, so despite my annoyance, I stood up and went behind her. I pulled her hair behind her ear and knelt down beside her, holding her other hand in her lap. Sierra wiped her tears away and glanced at me.

"I'm sorry for treating you like a shit and—"

"Shh, stop saying that." I said as I kissed her hand. I despise it when she belittles herself, since she will always be that flawless girl in my eyes.

"There are just too many things going on in my thoughts that are confusing me." Sierra sniffed and wiped her tears away
