Aurora pov

I stood there, staring at Sofia as she left the room, leaving me, Asher, and the herbalist. I turned back to the direction of Asher, who was all covered with anger, judging from his facial expression.

"My alpha, thank goodness, she is gone now," the herbalist said, followed by a deep breath of relief. "Indeed, but are you okay, Aurora?" Asher said with a forceful smile.

I just nodded with a faded smile to match my pretends, but I was angry.

"You need to be very careful about her, my alpha," the herbalist said, his eyes widened. "There is more to her than what she just displayed."

"Right from time, I have never enjoyed my marriage with Sofia," Asher said, his voice low and serious. "I have been living with pretends, lies, and hatred for Aurora."

I looked at him in a strange way and immediately looked away, as we were about to make eye contact.

"Thank you, Aurora, for defending yourself and fighting Sofia," Asher said, facing the herbalist as they both agreed to what he was

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 181

Chapter 181 Asher’s POVI sat beside her, watching the slow rise and fall of her chest. It had been hours since she passed out after turning that monster into stone with the Bluefang Ring. Hours of waiting. Hoping. Praying.I had seen death up close. I'd felt it, breathed it, and survived it. But nothing prepared me for the crushing weight of watching Aurora lying still, her skin pale, her body unmoving. She looked like a broken doll—delicate, lifeless, and terrifyingly silent. I kept thinking: What if she doesn’t wake up? What if I lose her before I ever get the chance to say I’m sorry for everything?“Please,” I whispered, brushing my thumb across her knuckles. “Come back to me.”And just like that—she did.A faint groan slipped past her lips before her eyes fluttered open. I leaned forward immediately.“Aurora?”She blinked, dazed, disoriented. “Asher? Are you crying?” she gave me a ain't smile.Relief crashed into me, heavy and overwhelming. I didn’t hesitate. I pulled her into

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 180

Chapter 180 Aurora’s POVI stared at the empty space on the wall where Asher’s sword used to hang.Days had passed since he last spoke to me, and I could still feel the echo of his silence pressing against my chest. Ever since I handed the Bluefang Ring to Ava, something shifted between us—something heavy and sharp that sliced through whatever bond we were building. I had only meant to help, to do the right thing, but instead, it felt like I betrayed him. Now, he was gone. No message. No trace. And I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was very, very wrong.A sudden crash broke through my thoughts. The door slammed open, and Loid stumbled in, his body covered in bruises, blood smeared across his clothes. His breathing was ragged, and before I could take two steps toward him, he collapsed.“Loid!” I dropped to my knees, cradling his head. “Guards! Someone help me!”Two healers rushed in moments later, and I backed away, watching them lift his unconscious body. My heart pounded

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 179

Chapter 179Asher’s POVLoid jogged up to me, his breath coming in sharp pants. “Well?”“It’s not on her,” I growled, searching her coat again just to be sure. “She must’ve handed it over to someone else before we got to her.”Loid cursed under his breath and kicked at a nearby rock. “So we’re back to square one.”“No,” I said quickly, my ears picking up something—soft movement in the nearby brush. I stiffened, raising a hand to silence him. He went quiet immediately. The rustling wasn’t heavy like a predator’s, but it wasn’t random either. We ducked low, camouflaged by the thick brush. The wind shifted, and with it came a faint scent—wolf, but not a familiar one. The sound drew closer until we spotted a figure—a child. A girl. Maybe ten at most. She was barefoot, her brown hair a mess of twigs and leaves. Her eyes, though, those weren’t the eyes of a normal pup. They glowed faintly violet under the moonlight.Loid narrowed his eyes. “She’s just a kid.”“No,” I whispered. “Look at her

Chapter 178Asher’s POVI couldn’t sit still.Pacing my study back and forth like a caged wolf, I slammed my fist on the desk again. “None of this makes sense. She outsmarts us every damn time.”Loid leaned against the wall, his arms crossed and eyes dark. “She’s slippery. We can’t just confront her head-on. We’ve tried that.”I growled low under my breath. The thought of Ava holding the Bluefang Ring, of Aurora giving it away was driving me mad. Ava wasn’t just my sister anymore; she was a threat.“She’s going to destroy herself,” I muttered. “That ring isn’t some toy. If she uses it with the wrong intentions—”“It’ll consume her,” Loid finished, his voice grim. “We need to find a way to get it back before it’s too late.”Silence settled in for a moment, thick with tension. I rubbed a hand through my hair, trying to think. But Loid was already ahead of me, his brow furrowing as if an idea had just struck.“There’s one person she might listen to,” he said slowly.I turned to face him.

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 177

Chapter 177Aurora’s POVThe faint scent of rosemary and herbs clung to the walls of the wolf doctor’s chamber. I sat quietly on the edge of the examination bed, hands cradling my stomach as the healer dabbed his hands clean. My heart beat a little faster than normal—not out of fear, but anticipation. Hope.“Well?” I asked, eyes locked on his.He smiled softly and handed me a folded parchment. “You and the pup are healthy. Strong heartbeat. No abnormalities. You’re doing everything right, Luna.”My breath caught. Relief swept through me like a wave, washing away days of anxiety. I blinked quickly to keep the tears from falling too easily.“Thank you,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “Truly.”I tucked the parchment away, thanked him again, and made my way back toward my quarters. The corridors felt oddly quiet. Too quiet. Usually, I’d hear Loid’s footsteps pacing or catch a glimpse of Asher watching over the patrol rotations from the balcony, but the halls were empty. Even th

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 176

Chapter 176Asher’s POVI wasn’t going to sit around and let Ava keep manipulating everyone from the shadows. The moment Loid told me where she was, I made him take me there. He hesitated, of course. Said it was dangerous. That Ava made it clear she didn’t want anyone else coming, especially not me.But I didn’t care. This wasn’t just about him anymore. This was about the pack. About everything we’d built. And if Ava wanted to tear it all down with whatever sick game she was playing, then I was going to put an end to it myself. So Loid led me through the dense forest, his eyes darting around like he expected a trap at any moment. I could tell he was nervous—his steps too fast, too unsure, like he was torn between protecting me and protecting the woman he loved.“This is a mistake,” he muttered for the third time, glancing over his shoulder at me. “She made it clear. If she sees you—”“She won’t kill your Hilary. Trust me, I'll make sure she doesn't get what she wants,” I cut in coldly
