Chapter 174

Asher’s POV

The moment Loid’s message reached me, I was already halfway to the infirmary.

My boots slammed against the stone floor, every stride fueled by fury and confusion. I didn’t want to believe it at first—didn’t want to think Aurora would be reckless enough to visit the dungeon after everything.

But she had. Of course she had. And now, one of my guards was dead, and my sister—the traitor—was gone.

I burst into the infirmary, eyes scanning until I found the healer crouched over the lifeless body on the table.

Blood soaked the guard’s tunic, seeping into the sheets. His skin was pale, his mouth slightly agape, and his neck—

I clenched my fists.

Ripped open. Not clawed. Not scratched. Torn apart in a precise, brutal bite that didn’t belong to any werewolf I’d ever seen.

Loid stood to the side, silent and grim, his jaw tight. Aurora was nowhere in sight, thankfully. I wasn’t sure if I could look at her right now without saying something I’d regret.

The healer looked up

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 184

Chapter 184Writer's POVThe air was thick with heat despite the setting sun, casting golden rays that danced through the open windows of the Alpha’s dining hall. Aurora sat at the far end of the table beside Asher, her delicate fingers picking lazily at her food. Her other hand rested protectively on her round belly, which had grown considerably in the past few weeks. The pregnancy had reached its final stage, and every passing hour made them more alert.Asher glanced at her, worry lacing his features even as he tried to act casual.“You haven’t eaten much,” he noted, his voice soft.Aurora offered a tired smile. “I’m full,” she said, even though she had barely touched her grilled meat and vegetables. Before Asher could respond, her face suddenly contorted in pain. A sharp gasp escaped her lips as her hands flew to her stomach.“Asher…” she whispered, panic rising in her voice. “It’s time.”The chair clattered backward as Asher stood. He didn’t waste a second. “Someone get the heal

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 183

Chapter 183 Aurora’s POVThe halls of the fortress had never felt so still. After everything—battles, blood, chaos—I should be grateful for the silence. But today, it didn’t feel like peace. It felt like uncertainty. Like waiting for a storm we couldn’t predict.I stood in front of Hilary’s chamber, my hand hovering over the doorknob. She was awake now, alive. But she didn’t remember anything. Not even Loid. That alone had nearly broken him. When the witch revived her, there was this moment—a pause, like the world holding its breath. And then… nothing. Her eyes had opened, blank and wide, like a newborn’s. No flicker of recognition. No spark when she saw Loid. Nothing.I finally pushed the door open, stepping into the quiet room.Hilary was sitting by the window, her silver hair tumbling down her shoulders. She was wrapped in a pale blanket, staring at the garden like she’d never seen flowers before. She didn’t turn when I entered. It was as if she didn’t even sense me.“Hey,” I said

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 182

Chapter 182Asher's POVWe searched everywhere, but Loid was nowhere to be found. His room was empty, his scent cold and scattered like he hadn’t been there in hours. Every hallway, every tent, every shadowed corner—we tore through them like madwolves. And still, nothing.I could see the panic rising in Aurora’s eyes. She masked it well, but I knew her better than that. She was worried—no, scared. And so was I. Not just because Loid was missing, but because we both knew what kind of thoughts might be swirling in his head right now.I clenched my jaw. “There’s only one place left to check.”Aurora turned to me, eyebrows raised. “Where?”“The stream,” I said. “He used to go there with Hilary. It was their spot.”We didn’t waste another second. The run through the forest was cold and cruel, branches slashing across my arms, roots trying to trip me, but none of it mattered. We kept going until we reached the clearing where the stream gently curved through the land. The moonlight glinted

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 181

Chapter 181 Asher’s POVI sat beside her, watching the slow rise and fall of her chest. It had been hours since she passed out after turning that monster into stone with the Bluefang Ring. Hours of waiting. Hoping. Praying.I had seen death up close. I'd felt it, breathed it, and survived it. But nothing prepared me for the crushing weight of watching Aurora lying still, her skin pale, her body unmoving. She looked like a broken doll—delicate, lifeless, and terrifyingly silent. I kept thinking: What if she doesn’t wake up? What if I lose her before I ever get the chance to say I’m sorry for everything?“Please,” I whispered, brushing my thumb across her knuckles. “Come back to me.”And just like that—she did.A faint groan slipped past her lips before her eyes fluttered open. I leaned forward immediately.“Aurora?”She blinked, dazed, disoriented. “Asher? Are you crying?” she gave me a ain't smile.Relief crashed into me, heavy and overwhelming. I didn’t hesitate. I pulled her into

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 180

Chapter 180 Aurora’s POVI stared at the empty space on the wall where Asher’s sword used to hang.Days had passed since he last spoke to me, and I could still feel the echo of his silence pressing against my chest. Ever since I handed the Bluefang Ring to Ava, something shifted between us—something heavy and sharp that sliced through whatever bond we were building. I had only meant to help, to do the right thing, but instead, it felt like I betrayed him. Now, he was gone. No message. No trace. And I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was very, very wrong.A sudden crash broke through my thoughts. The door slammed open, and Loid stumbled in, his body covered in bruises, blood smeared across his clothes. His breathing was ragged, and before I could take two steps toward him, he collapsed.“Loid!” I dropped to my knees, cradling his head. “Guards! Someone help me!”Two healers rushed in moments later, and I backed away, watching them lift his unconscious body. My heart pounded

  • Silent Luna: Alpha's Rejected Mate   Chapter 179

Chapter 179Asher’s POVLoid jogged up to me, his breath coming in sharp pants. “Well?”“It’s not on her,” I growled, searching her coat again just to be sure. “She must’ve handed it over to someone else before we got to her.”Loid cursed under his breath and kicked at a nearby rock. “So we’re back to square one.”“No,” I said quickly, my ears picking up something—soft movement in the nearby brush. I stiffened, raising a hand to silence him. He went quiet immediately. The rustling wasn’t heavy like a predator’s, but it wasn’t random either. We ducked low, camouflaged by the thick brush. The wind shifted, and with it came a faint scent—wolf, but not a familiar one. The sound drew closer until we spotted a figure—a child. A girl. Maybe ten at most. She was barefoot, her brown hair a mess of twigs and leaves. Her eyes, though, those weren’t the eyes of a normal pup. They glowed faintly violet under the moonlight.Loid narrowed his eyes. “She’s just a kid.”“No,” I whispered. “Look at her
