“EXCUSE me, Ma’am Evadne,” NoraLee apologized as she poked her head through the slightly ajar door.
Evadne gestured for her to come inside. “Come in, NoraLee,” she said.
NoraLee bit her lower lip as she entered and approached her.
“Is there a problem outside?”
“Uh, yes, Ma’am Evadne.”
“Did something break in our coffee maker?”
She shook her head. “N-no, it’s not that. Everything is fine. Nothing’s broken. It’s just that Sir Handsome is outside. He’s claiming his free coffee now. He said he wants you to make it for him.”
Evadne sighed. She had just arrived not too long ago. After visiting her parents at the cemetery, she had come straight to the coffee shop.
“You should have told him I’m not here.” She had just arrived a little while ago from church.
“I tried to make up an excuse, but he said he saw you coming into the coffee shop earlier. So, I couldn’t come up with any more excuses. I’m sorry.”
She sighed again. With a heavy heart, she lowered her hand, which had been massaging her temples. She looked at NoraLee once more.
“All right, I’ll take care of his coffee. Anyway, I’ll be here at the shop until tomorrow. Maybe next time, I won’t be able to make his coffee anymore.”
“You know, Ma’am, it seems like Sir Handsome has a thing for you. He always looks at you differently, with affection. But you’re already married. He just came back to the shop late.”
She paused for a moment. “Late back? What do you mean?”
“As far as I can remember, he was also a customer here before. I don’t know why he’s just coming back to have coffee here now. He’s lucky because he still has one year of free coffee.”
With so much on her mind, she couldn’t recall that particular customer. She shook her head slightly and stood up.
“You can go outside first, NoraLee.”
“Okay,” NoraLee said, complying with Evadne’s request.
Once NoraLee had left, Evadne took a few deep breaths before deciding to leave her office.
She immediately spotted the male customer whose name she still didn’t know. He was sitting in her favorite spot, by the glass wall.
Before he noticed her looking at him, she had already started preparing his coffee. It didn’t take long. When she finished, she placed the coffee cup on a saucer on the tray.
She walked carefully to where the young man was, carrying the tray.
“Here’s your coffee, Sir,” she politely said as she placed the cup of coffee in front of him. “Anything else, Sir?” she asked before he could look at her.
When he looked at her, their gazes met once again. This prompted Evadne to quickly avert her eyes. She couldn’t help feeling as though she were being hypnotized by his gaze.
Nevertheless, she pushed aside the fact that he had a strong presence. She didn’t know why she needed to feel that.
“In the house?” he inquired.
“A-ahm, if you want, Sir,” she agreed to his request.
He was wealthy, but he still wanted it for free. She wished she hadn’t offered it to him in the first place.
“Just kidding,” he said with a smile.
There, because of that smile, she couldn’t help but hold her breath for a moment.
Evadne, you should just close your eyes so you won’t have to see that guy anymore? she thought to herself.
“If there’s cheesecake available, please, give me one slice.”
“Is that all, Sir?”
“Hmmm.”
“Alright,” she said, regaining her composure and walking away from the guy.
Was it right to feel this strange sensation with that guy? She was confused about why she felt that way.
Evadne, you’re married. Feeling something different for another guy is a betrayal. So, don’t let yourself be swayed by that panty-dropping smile of his, she scolded herself once again.
She didn’t like it when any guy showed interest in her at her coffee shop, especially when it wasn’t the customer’s intention. If word ever got back to Orion, she was sure it would lead to an argument.
After getting a slice of cheesecake, she brought it over to the young man.
He handed her a thousand Doller Note.
“Keep the change,” he added.
“Uh, okay?”
“I know you heard me.”
“But... keep the change for the tip?”
“Just give it to your employee.”
It seemed she really didn’t want to take the change. “Alright, Sir. Thank you. Enjoy your coffee and cheesecake,” she said before leaving him again.
She gave the entire thousand Doller note to NoraLee. “He said ‘keep the change,’” she told NoraLee, who widened her eyes. “Split it among the others.”
“Sure, Ma’am. Thank you.”
“Thank the customer,” she reminded NoraLee before heading back to her office.
She put the male customer out of her mind and took a deep breath. Starting the next day, she would become a full-time housewife for her husband, Orion. She was sure he would be delighted with her decision.
She put a smile back on her face and resumed her work.
“SIR HANDSOME, I meant to say... Sir,” the cashier corrected herself as she spoke.
Gavin looked up at the girl who approached him. Her nameplate read NoraLee. “Yes?”
“Um, thank you for the tip,” NoraLee said, flashing a smile.
“You’re welcome.”
But she still didn’t leave his side. She glanced at something before sitting in the empty chair next to him.
“Sir, can I ask you something?”
Gavin nodded. “Go ahead,” he said casually.
“Please don’t take offense at my question. I’m just concerned. Are you interested in my boss?”
Amusement could be seen on Gavin’s handsome face because of the woman’s question.
“Why do you ask?”
“Um, because if you’re interested in my boss, please don’t pursue it further because she’s already married.”
Gavin’s hand, which was about to pick up his cup, froze. He cleared his throat.
“I know.”
“R-really?” she stammered, surprised.
“I see her wedding ring.”
She nodded. “I was just curious, Sir. Well, thank you for answering and not snubbing me. If you’d like more coffee, just let me know. Goodbye, Sir,” NoraLee said as she stood up and quickly walked away.
A few moments passed before Gavin managed to take a sip of his coffee.

“On Monday, you can start at the office,” Orion told Camila, who was lying next to him, while he was holding Camila’s face. They had just finished making love.
“Thanks. I’m still feeling lazy about starting work.”
Orion sat up from lying down. “It’s safer if we’re not here at home. What if Evadne suddenly catches us?”
“So, where will we do it?” she asked playfully. “In your office?” She even smiled when she said that.
“Sure. There, Evadne won’t be able to catch us. I’ll try to hire you as my secretary to give you more access in and out of my office. How’s that?”
“You’re so clever. That’s why I really like you,” Camila said, biting her lower lip. “Are you going to divorce Evadne?”
Orion looked away. “No.”
“No? So, are you just going to lead her on, still carrying your load in her? If I may say, she won’t be impressed with you because she’s so boring in bed. Coming from you, right?”
“I can’t just divorce Evadne like that. Everyone knows her as my wife.”
“But do you still recognize her as your wife?”
Orion couldn’t answer immediately.
“I thought, you don’t want my wife to be a topic when we are together in bed?”
“Orion, sometimes I also want to talk about Evadne. She’s my favorite topic of conversation.” Camila released Orion’s pet and straddled him. Afterward, she pushed Orion down. “I’m really curious about who and what Evadne’s husband looks like.” Camila smiled. “You’re not that hard to snatch away from her, Orion. Are you just impressed with me? Me or your wife?”“Can we drop the conversation? Just do what you want,” he replied.
“Yes, hon,” Camila said in a flirtatious tone, even using the endearment Evadne used for her husband. Camila was the one who inserted Orion’s penis into her pussy, and she moved seductively as she did so.
When it came to bedroom skills, Camila had no equal when it came to Evadne. This only intensified Orion’s sexual desire. And because of Camila’s seduction, the man had become utterly weak.

“HON, I’m going to the coffee shop early today,” Evadne informed Orion the next day. It was her last day at the coffee shop, and she wanted to make it memorable, so she wanted to arrive early.
“It’s up to you.”
They had already finished breakfast. Evadne didn’t need her husband to escort her because she had her own car. She knew how to drive.
“Bye,” she said, even giving him a kiss on the lips. He was still putting on his shoes.
“Bye,” Orion replied tersely.
As she left their room, she caught Camila cleaning the table where they had eaten. Camila had volunteered to do it, considering she had cooked their breakfast that morning.
“I’m off,” she said to her friend.
Camila smiled at her. “Take care,” Camila added.
“Thanks.”
She was all smiles. She felt that it was the first step towards a new beginning in her life’s journey. Now, she and Orion would start trying to have a child.
She got into her car and was about to start the engine when she remembered the folder containing important files for the coffee shop. She planned to give it to NoraLee so that she could study them further.
She had no choice but to return to their condo unit with Orion.
She turned the doorknob of their unit carefully. When she entered, her gaze drifted towards the kitchen. Some remnants of their meal were still on the table.
She furrowed her brow, thinking that Camila might have been cleaning earlier.
When she realized that Camila might have just taken something from the room or used the bathroom
When she thought that maybe she just took something from the room or perhaps went to the bathroom first, she shrugged it off. She continued on her way to their bedroom.
She stopped walking when she heard a moan. She furrowed her brow and listened carefully. Indeed, she could hear a woman’s moan. Out of nowhere, her gaze shifted to the direction of her and Orion’s room. The door to their bedroom was slightly ajar. She had closed it when she left earlier.
Why did her heart suddenly pound? She shook her head and continued towards their room.
At that moment, she peered through the small opening. Something she probably shouldn’t have done.
Evadne was more shocked than if she had been drenched with icy water where her feet
Evadne felt as though ice-cold water had been poured over her where she stood because she saw with her own eyes from inside the room. She stood frozen in shock at what she saw.
Evadne felt worse than someone bitten by a snake because of that kiss from Gavin. Not even the sharp lightning and loud thunder could shake her. Whereas earlier, she could hardly keep still because of fear. But the fear she endured earlier seemed to vanish suddenly.Evadne’s hands instinctively rose to Gavin’s chest. While she still had some sanity left, she decided to push Gavin away from her.He relented.“W-what do you think you’re doing, Gavin?” she scolded, swallowing hard. For a moment, her gaze flickered to his lips, but she quickly returned her eyes to his. Those lips were a fierce temptation.Perks of being long deprived, Evadne? her mischievous mind teased.“I’m kissing you,” Gavin replied without hesitation. He took a deep breath. “And I’m not sorry for kissing you. It’s to ease your fear.”To ease her fear? That was a pretty good reason.“Gavin, you shouldn’t have done that. You know-”“I know there’s someone else,” he quickly interjected. “But, to be honest, the more we’r
She secretly swallowed. “I’m happy here, Gavin. You don’t need to see it with your own eyes.”“Just let me if what you’re saying is really true.”“Do you doubt me?”“It’s not like that. I just want to make sure.”“I’m okay. We’re okay...” she and your children.“You’re not married yet.”Evadne couldn’t immediately respond to Gavin’s statement. Was she going to confess?“Is it really necessary for two people to be married before being together?” she reasoned.Gavin sighed. “If he really loves you, he’ll marry you. What if I decide to take you back, can he do anything? You’re not married yet.”Was he serious? Was he ready to take her back from someone else if she had someone else?“The conversation’s going off track, Gavin,” she scolded. She stood up and approached the grilled food he ordered. “Can I have some? I’m hungry,” she said before taking some. She also took another stick and handed it to Gavin.“No wonder the barbecue at that grill tastes so good because you’re the owner,” he
Gavin squeezed his eyes shut, his head resting on his knees. His heart felt like it was being wrung dry as he listened to the fading hum of the motorboat. He hadn’t expected to see Evadne in that place. So, the moment he heard her familiar voice—while he was searching for firewood on the island for the bonfire he had planned for later that night—he dropped the wood he was carrying and ran toward her faster than a lightning strike. His heart thudded loudly in his chest upon seeing Evadne. She was really right in front of him earlier. But just like that... they were parted for good. And he couldn’t accept that part. That their past was finally severed. Suddenly, the surroundings seemed even more colorless and bleak. It’s as if his mind deliberately reminded him of the happy memories he shared with Evadne back then. When they were still okay. Now, he had to come to terms with the fact that it’s really over. That Evadne, who was once a part of his life, wouldn’t be coming back. Deep in
Evadne mind was still conflicted—should she go back to Maine with Uncle Varenzo, or should she grant Gavin’s request for time to talk? Why was it so hard to decide?“Girl?” Varenzo called to her. He must have sensed that something was wrong because he approached her, ready to pull her away from Gavin. But why did it hurt to think of leaving white sand island without even talking to him? A part of her wanted to hear his side—why had he suddenly grown cold toward her back then? Was it worth listening to what he had to say?In the end, Evadne made a decision. She looked at Varenzo. “Can you just wait at the boat, Uncle Varenzo.”“Are you sure you don’t want to go home yet?”She nodded, and he respected her choice. She watched as Uncle Varenzo walked away. In her mind, she counted to five before finally turning to face Gavin. She could see the relief on his handsome face, as if her willingness to talk had allowed him to breathe easier.“Ten minutes, Gavin,” she told him.“Can’t we make it
Evadne wanted to pinch her cheek to see if what she was seeing was real or just part of her imagination. Would the face she was seeing completely change the moment she blinked? Even her breathing momentarily halted. She couldn’t believe what her eyes were seeing. In the end, she couldn’t help but blink. But upon doing so, what she was seeing didn’t change. The man approaching her still had the same appearance. Like her, he couldn’t believe seeing her. When she recovered from her surprise, she managed to step back slightly away from Gavin, who was now approaching her. That voice was familiar. Even after five years, she could still recognize it so quickly. She secretly swallowed. “I’ve placed your order for the barbecue in your tent,” she said, trying not to let him see how affected she was by seeing him again in person. Why was it like that? Why was there a part of her that was excited to see him? Shouldn’t she be angry with him? Just as she was about to quickly turn away, he gr
“WHAT’S WRONG? Your face looks sad again, Darling,” Catalina glanced at her husband, Gabriel, as he approached her.She sighed. “Gavin just arrived from somewhere. I don’t think our plan to set him up with Rosalin will be successful. Your son seems completely disinterested in Friend Dina’s daughter.”Gabriel embraced her and gently rubbed her shoulder. “I told you, you should talk to our son first. Maybe he has someone else in mind, which is why he’s not interested in Rosalin.”“Gabriel, our son is already thirty-seven. Do you want him to wait until we're dead before he thinks about having a family? Everything we have now will go to waste if there’s no one to pass it down to. We’re getting older. All I want is to see our son have a family of his own, a wife to stand by his side.”“When there were many girls linked to our son, you advised him to stay away from them and not get entangled. Now that he’s avoiding girls, you’re pushing for him to get married.”“How was I supposed to know i
