Zara’s POV

Xander had asked to see me after he had shocked the hell out of me by telling me he accepted me as his mate, I still was not sure what to make of this until I met him, just last night he was telling me I was like family to him and now, he was accepting me as his mate.

For some reason I had taken my time to prepare before going to see him, I did not want to appear shabby before him, I had seen the so called that had stolen his attentions and though I hated to admit it she was beautiful, very beautiful actually, she was elegantly beautiful with her raven black hair and beautiful clear skin that looked like it never went out in the sun, it was hard not to be jealous of a woman like that, she was everything I could only ever dream to become.

A sigh escaped my lips as I took a sip from the milk shake I had ordered while waiting for Xander to show up, he was not late, I was just pretty early, I could not wait at home, the anxiety was killing me, that was why I was here
