No. Penelope rebuked the thought as soon as it crossed her mind. She grasped her phone in between her finger and began writing a reply.

She watched as her message loaded, sent and got read, but even after five minutes, the sender refused to reply.

Was this some kind of prank? Penelope thought with furrowed brows. She waited a bit more before deciding that it was indeed a joke and without second thoughts, she blocked the number.

After that, she relaxed back in the chair she was sitting in and sighed out loud.
