Chapter 14

“Can I have an advance payment, please? I need money right now. I need it for my mother’s chemotherapy,” I said to Peter.

He was just staring at me in the eye. We are at a bar right now. Johnny decided to treat us and he forced me to be with them. Johnny, William, and Lester are with us but at a different table. We can’t fit in a small table here at the bar so Peter chose to have a different table instead.

The tables are tiny here. Only four people can fit at every table but Johnny has a fling right now. So, the four of them are at a different table. There are many people here. I know the drinks are expensive here. That’s why I didn’t order and just let Peter order for us.

I sighed thinking what will I do to get the money I needed. My salary surely is not enough for my mother’s chemotherapy. The doctor’s fee and others’ fees are still not yet counted. I need to do groceries as well because we are out of stock with everything we need for our daily needs.
