Dream

Aziel

I looked at the peacefully sleeping girl by my side. She was snoring a little and looked so pure and innocent in her sleep. I still didn’t know if I could trust how innocent she looked since she was their daughter after all.

The criminals that were masquerading as socialites. I didn’t think that the bruise was just from a fall. I could tell that she was hiding something from me and I wanted to find out what it was not I needed to.

When I first met her I couldn’t even recognize her because she was so different from her picture. One thing was for sure that she was so much more beautiful but the photo could not capture the pain and the darkness behind her eyes.

Hazel eyes which pulled me in and trapped me there.  She was a petite little thing with long black hair and pouty lips. She was also skinny, too skinny as if she had not been fed well and she also refused to eat yesterday.

I had so many questions just revolving around my head. I couldn’t really bombard her with questions as she was really flighty and she might just run away and I couldn’t afford that not just for my mission but also that I had a connection with her.

From the moment I met her I couldn’t take my eyes off of her it may sound cheesy but it's true. I had to be careful though because it might all be an act although I doubted it.

When I entered the library and saw her she was shaking and muttering in her sleep. It was too incoherent for me to understand what she was saying but she seemed genuinely terrified. She was sleeping peacefully now though. I stroked her hair and she sighed.

I promised myself that I would find out the demons that were haunting her and destroy them. The bell for the lunch time rang but I couldn’t bring myself to wake her up so I just stayed silent and let her sleep. I took her temperature from time to time and was glad that it was slowly but surely going back to normal. I decided on a quick nap since I had not slept well yesterday and no one was going to come to the library anyways.

When I woke up I saw that Aziel was sleeping beside me on the desk beside me. His head was turned towards me and he was sleeping soundly. I appreciated his gorgeous face, he really was a beautiful man carved out like a greek god.

I started tracing his eyes slowly and continued to his nose and mouth. My hand lingered there for a moment and I thought to myself what it would be like to kiss him.

I suddenly realised what I was doing and removed my hand from his face. I should really not be thinking thoughts like this. I remembered that I had a fever and checked my temperature and sighed in relief that it seemed to be normal.

I didn’t want to confront Aziel right after I had such thoughts so I just left a note for him and tiptoed out of the library. The classes seemed to have ended so I relaxed and headed to my car.

I drove home at normal speed since I just had a fever. When I arrived home I didn’t see my parents which was a relief since I couldn’t deal with them today. I was really hungry so I decided to eat something and went to the kitchen.

There I saw a note that my parents had gone on a business trip for a week and my mood improved significantly. I hummed while making a sandwich, I gulped it down in a few bites and though I was still hungry, I decided that I already had enough and went to my room.

I just wanted to sleep so I indulged myself since my parents weren’t home and slept. That night I dreamt of a certain guy and kissing him and since it was not a nightmare I would take it anytime.
