The safe house was quieting down. The men were still battle-worn from the earlier attack, and had begun to settle in for the night. Some had disappeared into rooms, others had claimed the couches, draping themselves in thick blankets. The scent of damp wood, sweat, and gun oil lingered in the air.

Serena sat curled up on a wooden chair in the farthest corner of the room, arms wrapped around herself as she tried to conserve whatever warmth she had left. Her dress was already in tatters, the thin fabric offering little protection against the night chill that crept in through the cracks in the old walls.

She clenched her jaw, biting back a string of curses. Damn Lucian. Damn all of them.

She watched as the men wrapped themselves in thick blankets, swapping out their bloodstained clothes for fresh ones. They had everything they needed, warmth, shelter and security. She had nothing.

Lucian and Enzo stood outside on the porch, their hushed conversation carrying through the broken window. T

  • Sinful obsession    WHAT if?

Enzo nudged the door open with his elbow, balancing a tray of bread, fruit, and steaming tea. Serena was perched quietly on the edge of the bed, knees drawn close, staring at the floor. Her silence filled the room heavier than any chain could.“Breakfast,” Enzo said lightly, almost sing-song, as if that alone could chase the gloom away. She didn’t move. Didn’t even blink. He frowned and repeated, firmer this time as he set the tray on the small stand beside her, “Breakfast, Princess.”“I heard you the first time,” Serena snapped, finally lifting her gaze. Her voice cracked with exhaustion and anger. “You’re all the same. All pathetic fools who want to take advantage of me.”Enzo froze for a moment, his playful air dimming. “I’m nothing like them, okay?” he said, softer this time. Slowly, he reached out, fingers brushing through her tangled hair with surprising gentleness. She flinched at first but didn’t pull away. Tears pricked her eyes as she grabbed his hand suddenly, holding it ti

  • Sinful obsession    Get rid of her

Lucian’s fists slammed into the heavy bag again and again, the leather groaning under each brutal hit. His knuckles stung, his wrists ached, but he didn’t stop.Sweat dripped down his temple as he gritted his teeth, muttering under his breath.“She’s supposed to be the enemy… supposed to be the fucking enemy.”He hit harder, his breath coming rough. The image of Serena’s flushed face, her moans, the way she’d shattered under his touch—it all came flooding back no matter how hard he tried to beat it out of himself.“Damn it,” he growled, throwing another punishing blow into the bag.Outside, voices carried.Serena’s and Enzo's “Where’s Lucian?” she demanded. Her tone was sharp, frantic.“I don’t know,” Enzo said lazily.“Don’t lie to me!” she snapped. “Tell me where he is.”Enzo chuckled under his breath. “Why are you looking so hard for the boss, princess? Didn’t get enough of him last night?”“Where is he?” Her voice cracked this time, a dangerous mix of desperation and fury.Lucian

  • Sinful obsession    Costly mistake

Lucian’s tongue slowed, his lips dragging one last time over her swollen clit before he pulled back, his chin wet with her. He was breathing hard, chest rising and falling, eyes blazing down at her like she was the only thing in the world that mattered. His fingers slid back between her legs, slick and relentless. He shoved two inside her, then three, stretching her open as her walls clenched greedily around him.Serena cried out, her back arching off the bed. Every thrust of his hand sent shocks through her body, her cunt dripping down his knuckles. She clutched the sheets, her head tossing side to side, unable to contain the raw moans spilling from her throat.Lucian’s jaw clenched as he pumped into her, his free hand dragging down to his cock. He gripped it hard, stroking himself with rough, desperate jerks. Precum slicked his palm as he matched the rhythm of his fingers driving into her.“Fuck, you’re so tight,” he growled, his voice wrecked, almost breaking. “You’re milking my ha

Serena had found the whiskey tucked away in his closet, and before she knew it the burn had turned into a haze. She kept drinking, glass after glass, until her body grew warm and heavy. By the time she fell onto the bed, her thin dress clung to her skin, her cheeks flushed from the alcohol. She didn’t remember when her eyes slid shut, but she didn’t wake when the door opened hours later.Lucian stepped into the room, silent, his gaze landing on her instantly. And he stilled. He was already so drunk from celebrating the defeat of a rival gang that he wondered if she was real. Serena was sprawled across the mattress, the bottle tipped over near her hand, her breathing soft and uneven. The fabric of her dress was so thin it left nothing to the imagination. Her hardened nipples pressed against the cloth, the faint glow of the firelight brushing over the soft lines of her body.Lucian’s steps were heavy, unsteady, the whiskey burning through his blood. His gaze dragged down her body, stop

He leaned against the frame, arms crossed, amusement glinting in his dark eyes. She scowled. “Enjoying yourself?”Lucian smirked. “Immensely.”She huffed, turning back to the fireplace. She wasn’t going to ask for his help. She would get this damn fire started on her own.Her hands trembled as she struck another match. The flame sparked, bigger this time. She held it against the wood, waiting.A tiny ember glowed. Then another. The fire caught. She sat back on her heels, staring at the growing flames as they licked at the logs, warming the air around her.She let out a breath of relief. Finally.Lucian said nothing for a moment. Then, after a beat, he murmured, “Took you long enough.”Serena glared at him over her shoulder. “You could’ve helped.”He shrugged. “I could have.”Asshole.She turned away, stretching her hands toward the fire, letting the warmth seep into her frozen skin. The heat wrapped around her, easing some of the tension from her muscles. Her body was tense, curled up

  • Sinful obsession    Different

Serena stood stiffly in the center of Lucian’s room, arms crossed over her chest as she waited for him to say something, anything. He was still by the door, his gaze unreadable as he studied her, the flickering lamplight casting deep shadows across his face. Then, without a word, he turned toward the small wooden closet in the corner of the room, yanked it open, and pulled out a thick blanket. He tossed it onto the bed, barely sparing her a glance before moving to the dresser, where he retrieved a pile of dark colored clothes.“Here.”Serena blinked as he threw them toward her. She barely managed to catch them, stumbling back slightly from the weight of the oversized fabric. She scowled down at the bundle in her arms. A black sweater, thick sweatpants, and a plain undershirt. They smelled like him…clean, sharp, laced with gunpowder and a hint of whiskey. She wrinkled her nose. Great. Now I’m going to smell like the devil himself.“You can wear those,” Lucian said coolly, as if she had
