The bed beside me was cold.

No note, no perfume, just the faint ache of scratches across my chest and the memory pounding behind my eyes.

7:28 a.m.

I got the hell out of the Four Seasons like I’d robbed the place. Hoodie up, cab home, shower so hot it hurt, trying to wash last night off my skin. Didn’t work.

By 8:37 I looked flawless on the outside: charcoal suit, perfect knot in the tie, hair still damp. Inside I was a disaster.

I stepped into the hallway with my laptop bag.

Amara was leaning against her door in tiny shorts and an oversized tee, sipping coffee, eyes sharp.

“Morning, Kol,” she said, gaze dropping to the fresh marks peeking above my collar. “Rough night?”

I muttered something and fled down the stairs.

8:57 a.m.

Harrington Global Industries. Twenty three floors of money and glass. I walked in three minutes early, trying to act like a man who belonged.

The receptionist smiled. “Mr. Kol? Executive elevator. Ms. Evelyn will meet you on the top floor.”

  • Sinfully Yours Step Daddy    Mummy?!

I stepped out of the building at 7:42 a.m., sharp as a blade: navy peak-lapel suit, crisp white shirt, tie knotted in a perfect Windsor, coat draped over my arm. The cold December air hit my face and I felt good, focused, dangerous, ready. Then the black Maybach glided to the curb right in front of me, like it had been waiting for my exact footstep.Tinted window lowered halfway.Liv Harrington leaned forward from the back seat, dark hair loose today, falling over one shoulder. She wore a charcoal blazer open over a silk camisole the color of champagne thin straps, low enough that the soft upper curves of her breasts caught the morning light.Tailored trousers, bare feet tucked under her, Louboutin heels kicked off on the floor mat like she owned the concept of rules.“Morning, Kol,” she said, voice still husky from sleep, lips curved in that same patient-predator smile. “Get in. We’re going the same way again.”The driver didn’t even glance in the mirror. Partition is already risin

  • Sinfully Yours Step Daddy    Game on

I stepped into the lobby with my coat still half on, jaw clenched so tight it hurt, every step reminding me how painfully hard I still was from Liv’s teasing, the leather smell, that last look she gave me… it was all sitting heavy in my blood.I just needed to get upstairs, lock the door, take an ice cold shower, and pass out before I did something stupid. Then I saw her.Amara.Leaning against the mailboxes in a cropped hoodie and grey leggings that looked vacuum sealed to her ass, scrolling her phone like she’d been waiting. She glanced up the second the door shut behind me. Her eyes did that slow drag coat open, shirt wrinkled from the long day, the obvious ridge in my slacks I couldn’t hide anymore.A smile spread across her face, wicked and knowing.“Long day at the office, neighbor?” She pushed off the wall, walked toward me slowly, hips rolling. “You look… tense.”I swallowed. My voice came out rough. “Amara, don’t.”She stopped inches away, close enough I could smell vanilla

Floor 18, 10:00 a.m. sharp. The elevator doors slid open onto a quieter floor: frosted glass partitions, soft lighting, the low hum of focused people who looked like they ate spreadsheets for breakfast.A woman in her early thirties was already waiting by the reception island: tall, East-Asian, black hair in a sleek bob, wearing a forest-green sheath dress and an expression that said she had zero time for bullshit.“You’re Kol,” she said, not a question. She stuck out her hand. Grip like iron. “Danielle Park. I run Forensic Accounting and Special Investigations. Come on.”No small talk. She turned and started walking. I followed. We passed rows of glass offices and open workstations. A few people glanced up, curious, but no one smiled. This wasn’t the “welcome aboard” floor, this was the “prove you belong or get out.Danielle pushed open a door at the end of the hall. Inside, a corner office with two monitors, a standing desk, and a view of the Inner Harbor. My name was already on the

  • Sinfully Yours Step Daddy    This Sweet Woman

After minutes of procrastinating I grabbed the key and went to where she called.I slid the keycard into the slot with fingers that wouldn’t stop trembling. The lock clicked green. I stepped inside and the door shut behind me like a vault. The suite was all low light and money, floor to ceiling windows looking over the dark harbor, a bottle of something old and expensive breathing on the bar, and the sound of water still running in the marble bathroom. She stepped out barefoot, wrapped in nothing but a short white robe that stopped high on her thighs. The belt was knotted loosely, one tug and it would fall open. Her skin glistened from the bath, droplets clinging to her collarbones, sliding down between her breasts. Wet hair slicked back, a few strands stuck to her cheek. She looked like a woman who’d been waiting her whole life to ruin someone exactly like me.“Took you long enough, baby,” she said, voice soft and maternal in the most sinful way possible. “Close the door all the wa

  • Sinfully Yours Step Daddy    Can I resist the temptation?

I shoved her back harder than I meant to. Her shoulders hit the shelving, a mop clattered to the floor, and the shock in her eyes snapped me out of the haze.“No,” I rasped, voice ragged. “I’m not doing this.”I didn’t wait for her reply. Belt half undone, shirt wrinkled, I bolted. Past the flickering exit sign, down the stairwell two steps at a time, out the side door into the cold Baltimore night. The October air slapped me awake. My lungs burned. My pulse was still hammering between my legs, but at least my head was clearing.Day one. Not even twenty four hours in this city and I was already sprinting from temptation like it was chasing me with a knife.I kept walking, fast, hands shoved deep in my pockets, until I was three blocks away under the orange glow of a streetlamp. Only then did I stop, lean against a brick wall, and drag in a long breath.I could still taste her on my lips. I still feel the ghost of her fingers on my zipper.Fuck.If I’d gone back to my apartment right t
