Sienna

"What’s the den?" The question came from me as my eyes moved between Adrian and Lucian. Both of them were busy glaring at each other. On second thought, Adrian was the one glaring, while Lucian looked amused. The day couldn’t have gotten more strange—first, our house was broken into, and then Lucian showed up. He had found out the secret I’d kept from him. He didn’t react the way I had imagined, or maybe he was just keeping himself in check since Adrian was here. Either way, I was confused. Adrian and Lucian kept talking about keeping me safe while ignoring me.

"It’s a place..." Adrian trailed off, rephrasing his words. "It’s a piece of land he and I purchased in our younger days. We constructed it to make a safe house." My face scrunched up in confusion.

"What do you mean by a safe house?" I asked, because we also had safe houses in our family. What was the point of making a joint one? Adrian rubbed his nape, trying to find the right words.

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 104

LucianIt was an hour later when I finally ordered the men to clean up the mess. I made my way upstairs. Adrian had come down earlier to bark orders, glaring and huffing at me before storming back up. As time passed, my patience wore thin. I couldn’t focus on anything knowing Sienna was upstairs—pregnant. The urge to storm in and demand answers was overwhelming, but I gave her space. Now, I had no more space left to give. She was pregnant and hiding it from me, which only led to one conclusion—it was mine. But the hurt that followed that realization was indescribable. She hadn’t wanted me to know. She’d been wrapping herself in those oversized coats, trying to hide it from everyone. When I reached the door to the nursery, I knocked. It swung open instantly, and there he was—Adrian. His scowl was immediate."What do you want?" he snapped. A bit harsh for someone whose house I just helped save."You know what. I need to talk to her," I said simply."Not right now. Go home," he ordered.

LucianBang! Another man down. I shifted back to my cover spot—a curve in the wall. My eyes were locked on the stairs. I had made a mental note: not even a drop of these vicious animals’ blood would touch that area. My mind was a storm of thoughts and heightened awareness. Enemies surrounded me, but I always operated best under pressure. Since getting Sienna to safety, I had already taken out more than five of them. I was outnumbered, sure, but that never discouraged me.At the thought of Sienna, a strange kind of numbness settled over me. Surely I hadn’t imagined it—she looked more than just healthy. Though slim, her stomach had a subtle puff. Then there was the nursery room… and Sienna’s uneasy expression. It brought me to a single, shocking conclusion: she might be pregnant. The thought unleashed a wave of rage through me, but I forced myself to calm down. Sienna’s fragile mental state—and the fact that she had every right to keep something this big from me—anchored me. I shoved th

SiennaI felt the ground beneath me shift as I saw a figure clad in black leap onto Lucian from behind, wielding a bat. However, Lucian had grown up in an environment full of backstabbers, so he wasn’t fazed when he heard my warning. Instead, he turned and grabbed the bat before it could hit him—at a speed that was nearly inhuman. His icy blue eyes were now frosty with rage, the storm within them brewing to its peak. Anyone would shiver under that gaze. Instinctively, I touched my belly as I backed up, watching Lucian lunge at the attacker. A sickening crack echoed through the space, and the man collapsed, motionless.I wasn’t a stranger to such horrid scenes. Being part of the mafia meant frequent sneak attacks—and the revenge that followed. But times had changed. I was no longer alone. I was carrying another life within me, and my first priority was to shield my child from this world. My stomach turned as I saw blood pooling on the ground. When Lucian was done, he immediately turned

SiennaMy hands straightened the new flowy maternity dress I had tried on. Since my outings were on pause, Ava and I had done some online shopping the last time she came over. Ava wasn’t staying at our house—instead, she stayed in Ivan’s guest house. I would have liked it better if she stayed with me, but our house was far from the city. She visited frequently, though, so I didn’t feel too alone. The dresses had just arrived. The one I had on was a lavender, flowy, lightweight dress that gently hugged my belly, showing off my bump. A smile spread across my lips as I gazed at myself in the mirror. The dress made me feel confident and proud. I turned slightly, placing my hands gently on my belly. I was still in awe every time I looked at it. Soon enough, I would have someone to call mine.Just as easily as the smile appeared, it slipped away. Thinking about what had happened a few days ago brought back the stress. This had been my life since I was young—being careful, being scared for o

Lucian“He won't reply.” Nico’s tone was full of amusement. I was reaching the limit of my patience. It had been a week since the attack. Adrian had reached out to Nico to say he agreed—but on the condition that he would respond to Nico only. Adrian downright refused to even speak to me over the phone. He was being childish, and he knew it. But I couldn’t even blame him. He hated my guts, yet he was still putting his sister’s safety in jeopardy because he refused to work with me professionally.“Listen, he’s still talking to us. If it were someone else, they wouldn’t even do that,” Nico tried to reassure me. In a way, he was right, but I didn’t care. My father had put Sienna on their radar. They attacked her and could have caused serious harm if I hadn’t been there.“He could act civil so everything could go quicker,” I gritted out. But there was no use—Adrian wasn’t going to budge anytime soon. My office phone buzzed, diverting my attention. Picking it up, I waited for the caller to
