Sienna

I just stared at him, my heart thundering in my chest like it was trying to break free. Everything was spinning inside me. The way Lucian looked at me—it wasn’t teasing anymore. It wasn’t flirtatious or laced with that usual smug charm he always wore like a second skin.

No. This was different.

His gaze held a quiet intensity. His eyes weren’t searching—they were certain. Like he’d already made his decision. Like he was waiting for me to catch up to it.

I didn’t speak. I couldn’t. There was a thick silence stretching between us, not awkward but charged—buzzing like static just before a lightning strike. The air around us grew heavy, warm, intimate in a way that made me hyperaware of every point where our bodies connected.

I hadn’t even realized I was still holding his hand. Or maybe he was the one holding mine. I looked down at our joined fingers—his thumb lightly stroking over my knuckles. The motion was subtle, tender. It made my breath hitch.

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 58

SiennaThe next three days went by in bliss. First, we had the bridal shower with all the girls. The next day we all went out, including Carlos’s brother, who ranged in all ages. The youngest being only 20. I found out they all belonged to a rich business family. When I asked Aunt Gia why she hadn’t told Dad about this. He would’ve been happy if he knew she was marrying someone rich and influential, but she responded that she was with her fiancé because she loved him not because he was rich, and she wanted Dad to understand that. Today was the rehearsal for her wedding. It took place in the backyard, right where the wedding was happening. I had just walked in the kitchen to see Ava and Aunt Gia with their heads together, whispering something. “What’s going on?” I asked, both of them stood up straight at seeing me. I eyed them suspiciously. “I heard something interesting.” Aunt Gia narrowed her eyes at me, while Ava avoided eye contact. “Like what?” I asked slowly.

Sienna The next two days went by in a blink, with Ava and I exploring the city, doing lots of shopping, and trying new food. I didn’t see Lucian at all during those two days, I would have thought he was ghosting me after confessing if not for the constant text messages he would send me throughout the day. He would check up on me during the day and night, asking how the day was going or if I needed anything from him. We still hadn’t talked about how we were taking our relationship forward but sometimes his text would be flirty and I didn't know how to handle them. LUCIAN: Did anyone else sing for you today? LUCIAN: Make sure you let them know you’re not single. He was being awfully playful. It was almost adorable for a man in his position. Today we checked out of the hotel and were on the way to the place Aunt Gia had reserved, where all the wedding festivities would take place. I would also be meeting her fiance for the first time. The place she reserved really was out

Sienna“Oh look!” I pointed at the 100th painting I had seen today. Time had gone by so fast, and it was already 4PM by the time we were going through our last round. There were still many that were unseen, but I figured I would come back for them another time. I fidgeted with my camera and took a picture of the famous Mona Lisa painting. I sighed happily as I looked through the pictures in my camera. Lucian was surprisingly calm in response to my giddiness, he never rushed me and instead walked with me everywhere. “You ready to leave?” He finally asked as we neared the exit. “Nope but I know I’ll have to.” I joked. “We’ll come back.” He said. I nodded in response. I glanced at him and wondered if he had somewhere else to be. He had to take calls twice while we were in there but he always came back quickly. “You can go back if you have work.” I told him once we reached the parking lot. “And what are you going to do?” He raised one eyebrow. “I’ll walk

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 53

Sienna I was busy packing my tote bag when I heard a distinct knock on the suite's door. I glanced at the clock, realizing it was exactly 9. I quickly gave myself a once-over in the full-length mirror. I was wearing a white blouse over which I had a pink sundress. It was still chilly there, so I had to resort to full sleeves. My hair was down with crown braids around. I looked cute, that I could admit. I checked my bag quickly. It had all the things I needed: a portable camera, slight makeup to touch up my face, my wallet, and mini Nutri-Bars in case I needed snacks, though I was planning on trying out the food from the cafe. I wrote a note and stuck it on my room’s door for Ava to see. Although I had texted her my plans the night before. I took in a deep breath and opened the door. As soon as I did, I was stuck staring at Lucian. He was out of his regular suits, wearing a knit polo shirt with drawstring pants and loafers as his footwear. The shirt's short sleeves left his tatt
