Sienna

I woke up as the light filtered through the curtain and right into my eyes. My eyes gently fluttered open, trying to adjust to the light. I looked at the ceiling and saw an unfamiliar roof, but this sense of unfamiliarity turned into belonging when I realized where I was. This thought formed a smile on my face. I turned to face the person I vowed to spend my life with, but it was empty. I looked around, and the bed was empty; however, it was still ruffled, which indicated that Lucian woke up first. I yawned as I stretched my arms above my head. My body felt heavy with sleep. I turned to the source of light and placed my hand above my eyes since I was still adjusting to the direct light. The curtains were open, which was odd because during the times Lucian would sleep over, he knew I always kept the curtains closed.

It was one of those days where everything felt right except for that one small feeling that something could go wrong. Maybe I was too paranoid due to the past events

He was furious, evident from the way he gripped the steering wheel and muttered curses about Nico. “Just don’t tell Adrian.” “Why not?
