Chapter 5

 

All the maids couldn't say anything,Mrs Dalton is keith grandmother,she's the mother of keith's late dad and everyone respect her in the house 

Darcie was crying after the man who was dragging

"How can I be punished for what I didn't do? Darcie cried out

"Shut up and just follow me" the man shouted

Darcie was taken to a another beautiful mansion in the same compound, everywhere was well decorated

The man took her inside and ask her to sit down

"Pls am innocent try and understand, I didn't steal her necklace"

"Of course I know you didn't steal my gold necklace" Mrs Dalton said behind her and grin at her broadly and Darcie was confused

"But....but......

.

"I know you're surprised but everything was planned"

"But why.....

" Have you forgotten my face?? Mrs Dalton asked but Darcie wasn't quite sure if she had seen her face before

.

"I don't think so" Darcie said

"Try and remember girl.....at your dad restaurant,you once prepare a special dish just by using Apple juice and honey bread" Mrs Dalton said and Darcie try to recall

"Ohh yes I can remember......you order for some potatoes but it wanst ready so I decided to make you another dish

"I have always find a way of looking for you but I never knew you're working here and funny enough,my grand son personal maid

Darcie smiled

"But why did you have to blame me in front of others that I stole your necklace and also threaten to send me out

"My dear am sorry but I have a reason for that"

"Uhm okay but still......

"I already instruct the head servant to allow you cook today's dinner for the whole house"

"Pardon???

" Your food is not just delicious but you make it with your heart and I believe your hands is made of magic" Mrs Dalton said and Darcie fake a smile

"How did she expect her to cook dinner for the entire house"Darcie thought

Darcie sigh as she left the mansion

"Hey Darcie" someone whispered her name and she turned to see Chloe hiding behind the flower

"What are you doing here??Chloe went to her and smiled 

" Mrs Smith choose you to follow keith to EYG opening of the new estate

"New opening??

.

"Yea the EYG has different new estate which they always open yearly

"Ohh but why did she choose me,I just start working in this house today and.....

"Aren't you her son personal maids and besides you fall into Mrs Dalton Prank, everyone was making fun of you when you're shedding tears cos Mrs Dalton said she was only making fun of you" Chloe winked at her and left

"This house is really annoying" she said to herself

Everyone was about eating dinner but keith was not present

"Where's keith?? Mrs Dalton asked

"Who cares?? We can eat without him" Sofia said

"Hmm are you two arguing with each other" Mrs Smith her mother asked

"Yea and I will tell all my classmates that he's always sucking his thumb so that they won't fall for him" Sofia said and the other maids giggle

"You're always making some jokes out"Mrs Dalton said

"okay Darcie since you're his personal maid,can you pls call him over for dinner"

"Err yes ma"Darcie said and bow her head

.

When Darcie got to the front of keith room,she press the door bell and the door opened,she sigh before entering the room and she met keith sleeping 

"Should I wake him up??.....oh no I can't,what if he gets angry"

Darcie said and was about leaving when she heard keith talking

"Nooo Mom pls don't leave me plss don't leave me"

Darcie look back and see keith shivering on the bed,he's sweating profusely,she went to him and didn't know what to do but she held his hand to calm him down and she guess it works cos he stop shivering and was panting softly

Darcie remember what Chloe said to her about keith losing his mom at a tender age and how he misses her

"He's at it again" Mrs Smith said from behind and Darcie quickly stood  up

"Am sorry ma I was just.....

.

"Its nothing dear" Mrs Smith said and looked at keith "he use to be a happy boy back then I guess cos I once work for his dad so I know how much he love his mom, he wouldn't eat nor sleep if he didn't see his mom for a minute, he always run away from school just to see his mom at work, there was a day his mom went for a business trip,he lock himself in the room for a day and threaten to kill himself if his mom doesn't show up,he's just 5 years back then but something terrible happen on his 6th birthday,his mother was poisoned by her trusted maid"

Darcie was shocked "then that must be the reason ..

"Yea that's the reason why he despise maids so much"

"But why did the maid poison his mom?

"Hmm up till now nobody knows,cos the maid also commit suicide" Mrs Smith said "you know I have assign him so many maids but he chase them away,he always pretend to be happy but deep inside he still misses his mom,I have try all my best to put the best smile on his face but I can't and I just believe that oneday someone will surely help me out and thank goodness you're here"

"What did you mean ma?? Darcie asked not understanding what she meant

"I believe in you,I know you can help me put the best smile on his face"

"But why did you think I can make him smile.....I mean put the best smile on his face....he despise maids and also he hates me" Darcie asked

"Today when I slapped him, he said something shocking to me"

"And that is??

"He said you're something else,that you're quite different from other maids he had encountered"

"He said that?? Darcie asked

"Yea he wanted to convince me to send you away cos he believe you're something else,he said you threatened him when he complained to you that your orange juice wasn't good"

"Ohh"

"Yea if keith can say such a thing then I believe you can change him" Mrs Smith said and Darcie didn't know what else to say

"I believe in you my dear" Mrs Smith said

Darcie smiled "okay if you believe in me then I promise to change him to the most happiest person on earth" Darcie said and Mrs Smith Smiled back at her

After the dinner,everyone went to their respective room,Mrs Dalton was told that Darcie wasn't the one who cooked the dinner but promise to prepare the dinner tomorrow

FAST FORWARD

.

" Hey don't think you can behave any how here" keith said to Darcie who bow her head

They both has gotten to the new estate who was about to open and Darcie wish she hasn't follow him cos he's just being arrogant and rude

"Don't you think its better for us to climb the stairs than using the elevator" Darcie said 

"Says who?? Keith said and press the right button to be directed to the 13th floor and the ride begin

When it get to the 8th floor,the elevator stopped 

"What happened?? Keith said "we shouldn't be there by now,it should be on the 13th floor"

"Maybe it get stuck" darcie said and put the four bottle of beers on the floor

"Stuck?? Keith said angrily

He check his phone in his pocket

"Damn it,I left it in the car, what about yours?? He asked Darcie

"Have you forgotten how you smashed it on the floor,if you haven't spoil my phone then I would have call for help and also I said we should make use of the stairs but you insist that we should use the elevator" Darcie said

"Just shut that your mouth" keith yelled at her

He Squatted on the floor and took one of the beers

"I thought you said the beers are meant for your friends"

"Can you please shut up??

After two hours

"What is taking them so long?? They should be here by now" Mrs Smith said looking worried

"Maybe keith decided to throw the poor maid off the bridge because of how much he despise maids and..." Sofia said and her mom glared at her

"Shut up Sofia"Mrs Smith said

"Oh gosh we've been here for almost two hours now" keith said and looked at Darcie who wasn't saying anything

"Hey aren't you going to say something" keith said and Darcie looked at him but still kept mute

"Hey am talking to you"keith yelled

"But you ask me to keep shut and am following your orders but now you're blaming me from keeping shut"Darcie said and keith hissed

The place was getting hot and Darcie decided to remove her jacket

"Hey what did you think you're doing?? Keith asked

"This place is hot and I just want to remove my jacket"

"And did you realise that a guy is here with you" keith said

"But am wearing some inner cloth"

"So you think am a stick" keith said

"I don't understand"

"Am a real guy,and a real guy wouldn't see a female undressing without not reacting" keith said,he said that because he doesn't want Darcie to remove her jacket

What?? Darcie said looking shocked and quickly shift back a little making keith chuckled

Keith finish the last bottle and everything was blur to him

"I wish I wish I wish "he started singing and Darcie believe he's completely drunk

"Hey I warned you but you don't even answer now see what you've done to yourself" Darcie said

"Shut up you bitch,don't forget am the boss here" keith said while he continue singing

"We are both stuck in this elevator for about eight hours now and....

"I said shut up" keith said and move closer to her,he looked at her and his eyes were getting blur,he started bringing his face down to hers

"Hey what did you think you're doing?? Darcie said and before he could say anything keith brought his lips down to hers and kissed her lingering with every breath

Darcie was shocked,she wanted to pull away from the kiss but she didn't know what its holding her back and then immediately the elevator door opened and all the minister, the medias including keith family couldn't believe their eyes when they see keith kissing Darcie

The media started taking picture and Darcie didn't flinch cos she was also shocked
