Chapter 3: Pack Oasis.

Immediately after gasping and feeling her heart rip apart, Kiara's hands flew over her lips to muffle it. Tears ran down her cheeks as she screamed inwardly, 'How dare him!'

“OK… When will I get my money, then?” He was so absorbed in his phone conversation that he failed to notice her.

“She is so weak, so you don't need to worry; I don't even care because it's not like she is my… It's not like she's my responsibility, you know. I can assure you, Purple Wolf, that there will be no problematic strings attached when I sell her to you,” he laughed.

“Purple wolf?” She gasped again. She has heard of that name. “That's one of the baddest wolves that walks the land; how dare him want to sell me off to an evil man?” she was hurt.

“I am not weak,” she ran to her room and closed the door. She really, really needed to leave because as the situation stands, “I better leave because he would even sell me out today if he gets the money,” she mumbled as she started packing all her belongings.

“Why is this world so cruel?” She found herself crying; her nose was looking light red, her cheeks flushed, and her eyes were swollen and red.

She suddenly wiped away her tears as she lost all feeling of pain; she was numb to the pain. She packed some of her clothes and other items she would need and headed to the kitchen to gather some food, drinks, snacks, and water because the only positive notion she could think of was “to escape.” She finished and flung open the window in her bedroom. Before facing the worst, it would be preferable for her to flee and protect herself from it, so she felt she was acting appropriately.

She has endured enough pain; she knew how much they despised her, but she never imagined that her own father would decide to sell her, and not to just any buyer, but to the legendary criminal known only as Purple Wolf, who would not think twice about taking a life for his own delight.

She said, dropping her luggage through the window with a loud thud, “It's probably for the best.”

She says, “I hope nothing breaks,” as she examines her bag, which was lying on the pitch-black ground. Furthermore, she was grateful that it was already nighttime. Kiara nearly broke her legs when she sprang out of the window. She was a werewolf, but she never once spoke with her wolf, giving the impression that she might be wolf less.

She was taking her luggage while her heart was racing, and she was perspiring heavily since she knew that if anyone caught her, she would be in serious trouble and most likely spend the rest of her life being imprisoned in her room.

Furthermore, she just had Janet's residence in mind because she was in desperate need of Janet at the time. She began pounding on Janet's door as soon as she arrived at her home.

She knocked on the door while attempting to contain her tears, saying, “Just open the door.” The door slowly opened, revealing Janet in her stunning short red nightgown.

“Kiara!” She was shocked as she immediately opened the door wide. “What in the world are you doing here? By this time, with this bag and your eyes red and swollen?”

“I will explain; can I come in?” She asked.

“Yes, sure. Get your ass in here, bestie!” She helped her with the luggage, taking it inside her house, and she closed the door.

“Where is your mom?” Kiara asked as she rubbed her two hands together, feeling a bit warm.

“Oh, she went out with the other members of the pack.”

“Oh, alright,” she said, sitting down on the furniture.

“What's happening? What happened?” Janet sat beside her.

“I… I… I am just speechless; I don't know, but I don't want to go back; I don't want to go back to that house full of evil, heartless people.” She covered her face with her hands as she broke down crying. Janet hugged her as she patted her shoulder.

“I don't know what I did to deserve all of this, but I despise my life and myself. Presently, I'm experiencing emotional depression. I want to be strong, but hell! I'm shattered.” mumbled a broken heart, a heart full of suffering.

“The reason I'm out here, therefore, is because I overheard my father striking a deal with Purple wolf, who intends to buy me outright for cash like some kind of piece of property.” She took the tissue Janet had given her and sniffed.

“Alright, your father had just gone too far! How could he?” Janet became enraged and got up. Her hands were on her waist, her eyes were wide open, and her brows were wrinkled.

“I know! That's why I said that I've had enough. I'm sick of being misled, bullied, and verbally and physically abused. Since my mental health is collapsing, I can't handle it any longer.” She blinked, allowing more and more tears to smear her face. “I can't live like this anymore,” she said.

“Alright, this stinks, honestly, but I am convinced that he would look for you; what's the plan?” Janet asked as she paced back and forth in the room.

“I don't know, but I just need somewhere to go too, somewhere I can find peace, somewhere far from the eyes of everyone who knows me.” She said, “I just want a new beginning.”

“Hmm, that's actually what I think you need, but that would be tomorrow morning. Early in the morning, we are leaving Moonbeam Pack to another pack; that would be the best thing to do,” Janet gave out her suggestion.

“I don't want to be a rogue!” That was coming straight from Kiara.

“You don't have much choice, love. You need to leave to another pack. You are your own Alpha! You're the daughter of a beta, you're strong, and you will fight this out. I believe in you, darling.” Kiara managed to fake a smile.

“I can't thank you enough for being here for me. Thanks for helping me out; I really owe you a lot.”

“What are friends for, huh? I am your bestie, so I got you.” The two hugged each other, and Janet wiped her tears before she patted her back and said,

“Are you hungry?”

“You need some raw meat?” Janet asked, “We can go hunting.”

“You know that I cannot connect to my wolf, and I don't want raw meat; I am okay, I will just go to sleep,” Kiara mumbled.

“Alright, you can sleep in my room. Come on, let's go!” Kiara tried her best to sleep, but she could not help it at all.

Standing up from the bed, she opened the window. She stared out of the window, looking at the moon.

“I hope for safety tomorrow, Moon Goddess,” she said, smiling as she laid down on the bed, finally drifting off to sleep.

*FIVE HOURS LATER*

“Wake up, wake up, wake up!” Kiara heard a voice, and someone was tapping her.

She groggily said, “Leave me alone,” moving for the cover and pillow.

“I will tell your crush that you like him if you don't wake up.” She muttered,

“I don't even have a crush,” while groaning in annoyance at the Werewolf alarm clock named “Janet,” who won't let her get some sleep.

“Sleeping Beauty is finally up. How was your night, bestie?” She questioned as she selected a few outfits from her closet.

“It was alright. Is it time to leave?” As she combed her hands through her hair, Kiara yawned.

“Yes, get ready, get dressed, put on those clothes,” she pointed at the black baggy pants and crop top. “I would be in the kitchen making breakfast, so if you are done, come down.” With that being said, she left the room, Kiara came down to the kitchen all dressed, she ate the sandwich prepared by Janet, and in a blink of an eye, both of them were moving outside the pack's territory with Janet's car.

“So, what's the plan?”

“I got a nice-looking villa you could stay in at Pack Oasis, so you would stay there for now all you need is there so no need to worry.” Janet glanced at Kiara; she could see Kiara smiling.

“Thank you so much, but who owns the villa?”

“Oh well, it's mine, so you don't need to worry.”

“Wait! You have a villa, and you never told me about it? Really?” She raised a brow.

“I forgot”

Kiara just nodded.

They soon arrived at the new pack; the air there was odd and eerie; something dark and powerful was prowling around, and she sensed something she couldn't place. In front of an enormous villa, Janet's car stopped. Kiara got inside the house; she was amazed; Janet had already left, heading straight to find a room. She laid down on the bed and dozed off.

****

Twenty minutes later, …

Kiara's eyes fluttered open, she yawned tiredly, and at that instance she felt a compelling energy that overpowered her. When she fully awoke, that was when she realized that she was not alone.

The atmosphere darkened and became ominous.

The pairs of green eyes she saw made her shiver; the atmosphere turned dark and chilling; three handsome men were staring intensely at her, and to her surprise, she was almost naked; she felt a cold chill run down her shaking and tensed spine when she heard.

“Hello, little kitten!”
