16. Right Into Trouble

Anya’s POV

I shot up from my bed at the first sign of the sun going down and hid the book I had been reading under my pillow.

Luckily, I had taken some books while I was leaving. At the very least, I was able to understand how to let Ozel take over my body easily. And that I needed constant training for Ozel to be stronger.

I guess she hadn’t been lying to me after all.

Since Abel had granted me permission to take a tour of the palace, I had been unable to take my mind off it all day.

I packed my hair into a loose ponytail and carried my only jacket.

I opened my door partly, checking that there was no one in the hallway, even though there was only one person that I was worried about meeting. Satisfied, I stepped out of my room.

As I walked down the steps, I was glad that I could still find my way around the house.

The moment I stepped out of the mansion, I took a deep breath and smiled at the difference in the air.
