Lena's Pov

That photo wasn’t just a memory. It was a secret only someone from my past could possess. But how did he—this Elias?

He oversaw me like he was waiting for my thoughts to settle. But my heart was racing.

“Where did you get this?” I asked again, holding the photo like it might burn me.

“Exactly the reason why I came here..”

“Someone came to ally with us earlier today. He brought that photo.”

I froze. “Who?”

“He said his name was Damian.”

My knees buckled.

No.

No. It couldn’t be.

“Damian?” I whispered. “He came here?”

Elias nodded once.

“Yes. He claimed he came to ally with us to help him go to war with a certain strong Alpha...for your sake”

“He came with a lot of money and gifts just to get our favor..”

“He gave us your picture and said that you are the woman he is looking for..”

My lips parted in shock.

“Did you tell him that I am here.?”

“No, we haven't told him anything..” Elias said quickly, seeing the panic in my face.

My throat was dry. My hands clutched the edge o

Vivian's PovI held his arm gently as we walked out of the hall, the Elders watching us. The moment we stepped out, the omegas scrambled like frightened chickens, dropping trays and bowing too deeply.I smiled broadly.I loved how they tripped over themselves, trying not to make eye contact. Every time they looked at me, they looked away twice as fast.Good.That’s how it should be.I loved power and obedience.I just loved the way they regarded me.We walked down the corridor, and Damian stayed quiet for a while, his footsteps heavy and tired. But then, he finally spoke.“Can you believe Elder Jossy?” he muttered beside me as we walked. “Speaking to me like I’m some sick old wolf.”I gave him a small, concerned look. “He did a lot today.”“I should’ve slapped him,” Damian growled.“Just one good slap across that wrinkled face of his.”I chuckled under my breath. “Now that would’ve made the headlines—Alpha goes wild in council chamber. What next? You rip his beard off too?”He let

Lena’s POVThey all stared at each other in awe before Jax finally cleared his throat to answer me.“Do you know the truth behind the Crescent Moon mark at the back of your neck?”I frowned, confused. “I can remember… that was the mark from my second mate…”“He marked me almost the day I was sold to him,” I added quietly, my voice shaky. “So I think the Crescent Moon mark is connected to him…”Jax gently reached out, holding my hand with one of his and placing the other on the back of my neck—right where the mark was.“Lena,” he said softly, “you should know by now that this mark is divine…”“Divine?” I repeated, not fully understanding. “What do you mean?”“The mark is not only about your mate. Your destiny isn't just tied to love or being claimed. It’s so much bigger than that,” Jax said, his eyes never leaving mine. “This mark… It’s about the purpose you’re meant to fulfill in this world.”I blinked. “What purpose?”“I don’t understand… what do you mean by that?” I asked again, my

Vivian’s POVWith a few strides, I headed towards the dungeon. The gammas outside were already feeding wood to the furnace, preparing for the poor omega’s death as black smoke curled toward the sky.Soon, it would roar hot enough to burn a body whole. The gammas greeted me but I ignored their greetings and walked past them, entering inside the dungeon.Immediately I stepped into the dungeon, the heavy stench from the dungeon hit me first, and then a chilling cold enough to make one’s bone ache clung to my skin. I wrapped my shawl tighter, but the chill still crawled up my spine.I should have felt pity for Mabel. She was down here, crying her eyes out for something she didn’t do.But pity is for the weak. And I have no space in my heart for weakness.Having the Blackwood Pack all to myself was the only thing that presently mattered to me.Mabel sat at the corner, chained, her back slouched. Her eyes were red and swollen—so puffy it looked like she hadn’t blinked in hours. Her lips t

Damian’s POVI sat still, surrounded by the Elders. Their eyes were fixed on me like hunters sizing up wounded prey. The room was quiet except for the sound of my heavy breathing. We were waiting for the omega sent to fetch the Alpha’s Chalice—but clearly, the Elders had other things on their minds.I could feel their thoughts digging into my skin. They wanted answers. They weren’t saying it yet, but I knew they would. And almost immediately, Elder Sefu broke the silence first.“Damian,” he began, his tone cold, “We honestly want to know what’s going on with you.”I turned my head slowly to him, my jaw already clenched.“Many of the pack’s pressing matters brought to your desk are still untouched,” he continued. “Yet all you do is speak to people that don't exist and scream names that are invisible…”He narrowed his eyes on me. “You keep calling for Lena even though she’s long gone. You were the one who rejected and discarded her.“You disturb the pack with your shouting, acting l

Vivian’s PovThe maid was shivering in fear. Her small hands clutched the silver chalice like it might save her from drowning. Her lips were dry, and I could see the panic all over her pale face. Her eyes darted between my face and the Silver cup.“Please.Luna..”“It's urgent, I have to deliver it to them..” she pleaded, her voice laced with utter fear. “You’re not taking that chalice anywhere.”My tone was sharp and commanding. She flinched. “B-but Luna, if I don’t bring it to them… they’ll punish me. Elder Mayaki said it’s important. Please—”“Calm down,” I said, lowering my voice a little. “No one is punishing you.”She blinked fast, unsure whether to believe me.“You’ll do exactly as I say, understood?” I added, my eyes narrowing. “We’re going back to the vault. Where did you get it from? I’ll handle the rest.”“But… Luna—”“Don’t test me,” I said sharply. “Just walk.”She nodded quickly and followed behind me, clutching the chalice like her life depended on it.“Good, Now let's

Lena's PovYou don't remember us, Luna!” “Even me?” one of the men asked, kneeling. I gasped in shock. Judging by the tone of their voices and their genuine facial expressions, it dawned on me that these people were not trying to mock or bully me but meant what they were saying.I looked at the one kneeling before me long and hard trying to see if I could recognize his face, but I couldn't just like the rest of the men in the room. My fear exploded. “Has she agreed already, let's proceed?” A voice cut in through the door. My heart skipped a beat but as I looked up and saw Elias at the door, a sudden surge of relief crept through my bones. It felt too good to realize that I could recognize someone in this room. “Where am I ?” I asked him, my voice was hollow and devoid of warmth. Beside him was Jax, and their faces were both filled with happiness. “Where am I?” I asked again curiously, trying to hide the fear inside of me. “You are still in our territory..” “The Blacksword terr
