“What did you say?” she asked, her voice low and confused.

“Don’t make me repeat myself, Mika,” Ethan replied dryly.

She blinked several times, trying to observe the emotions behind his marble gray-colored pair of eyes, but all she could see was dominance, arrogance, and a sheer amount of amusement as he stared down at her.

“Please, don’t call me by that name,” she uttered. “And I want to understand those things you just said a while ago.”

Ethan’s brow arched up as he crossed his arms against his chest.

“I said your father and I came up with a deal.” He stared at her darkly. “I will pay his debt, and as part of the deal, you will have to marry me.”
