DARIUS POV

Darius could see that other notable men from afar had arrived to grace the occasion, just like him.

The annual sales of young and pure-blooded ladies for their maximum enjoyment.

With the entire floor adorned in red carpets and the walls glittering in real gold, all eyes and rubbernecks made way as they glanced at him while he gradually walked with the dominant aura preceding him.

Each soul bowed at his striking appearance, and no sooner had he entered the grand underground building; he was led by one of the waitstaff to his special VVIP chair.

Following the masked ushers, Darius passed an array of waiting chairs that had already been stuffed by the men who had come for the event. As he approached the frontal seats, his ideal spot to check out the best fish, Darius gently perched on the specific prepared one for him.

He brought out his phone and proceeded to engross himself in his device as the ushers hunched in a significant bow and left his presence.

Soon after the ushers had left, one returned with a tray of exotic wines in gold-plated glass cups for him.

The golden lights illuminating and shimmering the entire scene abruptly went out, as did the booming music, and Darius instantly knew that the trade was about to begin.

Darius was surprised that the managers and head of this place had still not come to greet him because he knew they did every time. They would have personally materialized to address him greatly, but today they had not arrived yet, and he liked this because he had refrained them from doing so the last time he came.

Apart from greeting him specially, they would direct him to a particular table and deliver their lengthy speech to acknowledge his prominent presence to the other guests, and he despised the parade.

He had given them a strict order that such behavior should never happen again, as he thought it was ridiculous and stupid.

Shaking his head from his thoughts, Darius blinked twice as the light came back on, but this time at the center podium, where the mager of this great hound usually stood.

The great Blacko Shawn, and appearing alongside him was an aged man holding a scroll.

"Good evening to all!" Everyone except Darius clapped in response to the elderly potbellied man's warm greeting into the microphone.

"Get on with this. I need to get out of here." Darius grumbled mentally, focusing solely on him even though he knew the man couldn't hear.

He had a lot to do, and he just didn't want to waste time here.

"...and soon, our attractive and ravishing ladies would parade out to bless your orifices..." Mr. Shawn went on, and heaven knew Darius was tired of this unchanging speech, but he controlled himself a little.

Normally, he could walk over to where the women were standing and pick whoever he wanted rather than sit here and listen to this blabbing, but today he just decided not to do anything but sit and let things unfold their way.

Applauses and acknowledging boos from the men resounded once more as the light became even more shimmery and blazed the entire podium simultaneously.

From the perspective of a novice, someone visiting for the first time might believe that this was a cinema display or something when it was nothing of the sort.

Finally, they appeared... The girls filed out of the entrance, which was visible at the far end of the podium, in a single-formed line...

They appeared to be dressed in short, ruddy, wine-colored crop tops that conformed to their red-blonde hair and short skimpy black skirts that corresponded to the dark shoes that graced their feet as well; Darius observed as he looked at them from head to toe.

They had huge alluring but fake smiles on their faces as they were led out by three able bouncers and fascinated, already looking for a pick; Darius's eyes began to scan them one by one when his gaze suddenly stopped.

Just there... the last of them stepped out in an awkward stance, not smiling and nervously twitching her fingers as she looked around the building, her body unsteady.

At the sight of her, Darius felt…

That couldn't be! He said to himself, quickly removing his gaze from her as he began to look back at the red blondes who were dashing and hurling seductive postures and lustrous glances towards the happily enthusiastic men, but she wasn't doing all of these things.

She stood alone, head bowed, facing the podium floors, intent on concealing her view from the piercing, ogling gazes of the men around her.

Darius couldn't help but notice that she, like the rest of them, was a little different.

Her red-blonde hair looked too light to be true, like something out of a magazine, and it wasn't hard to see that she had the nicest and most strikingly shaped buttocks he'd ever seen.

Something which the short skimpy skirt did justice to, as it brought her curves out.

Darius dragged his gaze away from her and turned to look at the men, and just as he had suspected, most of them had their sights set on her.

Darius could hear their murmurs and fingers pointing directly at her, and he knew that if she were sold out, many men would spend their entire dime to have her in their possession.

What was her name?

And why wasn't she looking up?

He wanted to see her expression.

This was also unusual for him... not to have made any move, but he couldn't figure out why his gaze was intently fixed on her.

A commotion erupted, and Darius watched as Mr. Shawn appeared from thin air, creepily shifting closer to her and whispering a few words into her right ear.

Darius could see the furious snarl on his face as he mumbled a few words into her ear before turning to face the cheering audience with a mischievous smile.

He wondered what the mager must have said to the young red-blonde lady because she unhurriedly lifted her head to the world, and her eyes instantly dilated, probably to the vast populace she saw, and then...

That scent!

Darius sniffed again, his heart pricking slightly as he noticed her, the hair on his skin growing and compressing his snout so vigorously...

The second he noticed it, his long-forgotten wolf, which he had assumed had died out since he lost his mate, stirred up again.

Since Eve's death, his wolf had vanished, appearing to be useless to him, but it had reappeared in his mind, and with an agitated violent growling, Darius jumped from his seat.

His grayish orbs latched on her as his lips parted slightly in appall, and he gazed more keenly at her.

Her hair was so different - the shiny red-blonde hair was a bit unique from the other girls' because she had a blend of white furs on the tip of her hair.

Darius examined her, and he couldn't deny that she was fucking gorgeous and unreal.

On her face were tiny pinkish lips that looked enticing to crash on... not to mention her curves, as he noticed she had the most extensively bodacious and voluminous figure he had ever laid eyes on.

He couldn't help but stare as she beckoned to him, her body layer delicately spotless and flawless, and she had a perfectly pointed nose with such a refined facial structure.

She was extraordinarily pulchritudinous and bewitchingly beautiful.

Immediately, his wolf roared in him, a venomous surge of emotions coursing through his inner being, and without thinking twice about how he was about to yell, he growled the words that cascaded from his lips... "MATE!"

  • Sold To The Lycan King   A Gripping Tale’s End

BRIELLE'S POVHer heart fluttered like a flower picked from a peaceful garden. Brielle searched for words to convey how she felt as Darius hoisted her up the floor. Euphoria. Joy. Thrill. Delight. Excitement. Surprise. Yes. These words clearly defined the situation, but there was more going on. Something deeper. Something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Perhaps she didn't know what word to use, but it wasn't happiness. It was more than that. "My love. Mine, all mine..." Darius repeated in her ears as he twirled her around. After a few minutes, he dropped her back onto her feet.Brielle remained still for a moment, attempting to regain her breath. Her mind buzzed with so many different thoughts, and she felt dizzy and possibly lightheaded from all the dancing, but that didn't stop her from stretching her toes and kissing Darius on the cheek."How are you feeling?" Darius asked, and she replied. “I feel on top of the world. Or maybe I'm already flying through it; I have no idea

  • Sold To The Lycan King   The Banquet

A MONTH LATERDARIUS' POVThe banquet went better than Darius had anticipated. He had hoped for a low-key and personal ceremony in which he could deliver the glad news to his people and seal the everlasting union with his partner, but the event planners had other ideas. They'd gone over and aboard, and he surprisingly approved. Every area of the castle was artistically ornamented with gold and scarlet decorations. Everything was stunning, from the beautiful wall tapestries to the intricate floral arrangements, and the crystal chandelier glowed like a light in the hall's center. It was ethereal. Just like the woman for whom this entire charade was intended. Darius smiled as he continued to glance around. His gaze swept through the guests in the room, mingling, drinking, and speaking in groups. He also watched the servants rushing around carrying platters, refilling drinks, and doing almost anything to keep the party going. Finally, his wandering attention was interrupted by the mo

  • Sold To The Lycan King   Whispers Of Desire

BRIELLE’S POVThere wasn’t a force more powerful in the universe than love. At least, that was what Brielle was thinking as she watched Darius dress in front of the mirror. Her lips watered as he flexed his muscles to remove the white shirt that hugged his body's curves. They had both healed, and all that remained were the scars. Though as memories converged in her head, she nearly let out a whimper. She’d gone through a lot, and damn! Anytime she remembered the whippings, electric shocks, cold water dousing, and even days she went without food, tears streamed down her cheeks. It wasn't easy to forget what had happened, but with Darius, it was becoming easier than she had expected. He was at her side throughout the recovery process, and she couldn't have asked for anything more. "Like what you see?" Darius smirked, interrupting Brielle's thoughts. He was looking at her through the mirror, and when their eyes met, her cheeks flushed. She looked away."Umm." She murmured and said n

  • Sold To The Lycan King   A Love Rekindled

DARIUS POV Darius walked carefully down the corridor with his guards in tow. He’d woke up a few hours earlier, and all he could think about was seeing Brielle. The dream from the day before continued to torment him, keeping him half-awake all night. Now, all he wanted was to see and hug her tightly. Then he’d apologize for how he had neglected her—the anguish he'd caused her by not being present when she needed him most. And maybe she'd forgive him. But would she? The inexplicable torture she went through in Draken Havix's hands, as well as his irresponsible choice to send her out into the wild, was nothing short of horrific. It was unforgivable, and Brielle deserved much better. She deserved more than to be with a man like that. He was a coward and an idiot who couldn’t even admit that she had transformed him from who he used to be to a better person. But then, he was also a selfish fool, so he wouldn’t let her go. Not in this lifetime or the next. Regardless of these thought

  • Sold To The Lycan King   Blurry Memories

SOME DAYS LATERBRIELLE'S POV Her eyelids fluttered slowly, and Brielle groaned softly as a dull pain throbbed through her temples. It took a few more attempts before she could open them properly, and eventually, they slid wide enough for her to see where she was.Brielle had to squint a little until her eyes adjusted to the light, which was in stark contrast to what she was used to - dim lighting, quiet, and empty space. 'Where was she?' She frowned and pondered, 'How did she get here?'.She tried to push herself up into a sitting position but froze when a sharp pain shot through her skull again."Damn it." She muttered quietly, lifting a hand to her forehead, only to discover that it was attached to something, and she could not move it. "Fuck! Where am I?" She cursed aloud and, with her eyes roaming, began taking inventory of the room. And that's when she noticed it. The familiar curtains dangling from the windows. The dark red couches facing one another, and gold-plated side ta

BRIELLE'S POVBrielle's eyes opened and shut as she slipped into and out of consciousness. Her entire body hurt; her head ached, and her chest was on fire. Her eyes were open, but she couldn't see anything, and her eyesight was fuzzy. She could only hear noises, low whispering voices that appeared to come from all directions simultaneously. She could also feel soft wisps of cool breeze on her skin, confirming that she was outside. She wasn't in that terrible cell anymore, being tortured by those evil men.But if she wasn't present, where was she? She remembered sprinting through the palace hallways, looking for a way out, but then...She slowly began to recollect what happened after that. Her memories were returning slowly. Brielle had planned to flee once the guards left, with the cell door open and the key having fallen out of their pocket by accident. She remembered scanning left and right to ensure she didn't knock into anyone. It seemed strange how empty the hallways were. She
