Chapter 21 - Can't cook, don't know how.

Miranda’s heart was pounding in her chest. What should she say? She definitely couldn’t reveal the identity of the person calling her. It was even worse that he didn’t stop calling. It seemed as if his phone was on automatic redial.

“Answer the phone,” Caddaric said coldly. Surprisingly, he was patient with her, which made her more afraid. Right now, she wished that he would climb upstairs and not come down till she spoke to the person on the phone.

“It….it’s just my mom. I will call her later,” Miranda faked a smile.

Why did Caddaric feel like she was lying to him? Her mother would not call her knowing that she had come to see him so what was she hiding? The Wreath family was the responsibility of the Blades because they had been bound to them.

“Oh, let me talk to her then,” he said calmly, with his hands stretched towards her.

Miranda’s hands were instantly shaky but she tried her best to not lose her phone, which she only held tighter. “Ehmmm,”

Caddaric’s hand was still held out but
