Almano took Bella to the bunker where Coast was locked up,

The roars and growls of Knight, Coast’s wolf could be heard before they could even open the hatch.

Bella took the first step in climbing down the stairs. She found Knight bound with silver chains to his neck, she could see the bruises on his neck just from the silver.

“Coast” she called him in pity. Seeing him chained up like that was agonizing for her to see, she felt sorry for him. She could bet he was in so much pain.

“Coast” she tried to move closer.

“Bella get back, he might hurt you” Almano cautioned her but she didn’t listen to him.

“He is my mate, he would never hurt me” she stated and kept going closer until she heard a growl from him. It was an unexpected growl that she should have taken as a warning from Knight.

“Coast, it’s me” she said again to see if he would recognize her, it was uncalled for, for him to growl at her.
