Chapter 6

Asher's POV

The little woman in my arms looks so tense. 

I could understand, giving the situation of things and with the kind of reputation I had. I mean, I clearly just threatened her father with death not quite long. 

I really wonder why her wolf seems so quiet and doesn’t want to show herself. 

I could clearly see she was strong. Perhaps there's more to it and I'm going to have to figure it out.

I had mind linked to Derek to inform the staff at home on our arrival and get everything set and coordinated when we arrive.

The drive back to the pack didn’t take more than 30 minutes. Stepping out of the car, I could see her in awe of her surroundings. 

My pack is no small pack, no doubt bigger than the Shadow pack.

We have worked hard to build all that we have now from scratch. My mansion is the biggest building in the pack, standing out amongst the others.

“Come in, this is your home from now on”. I said ushering her inside the house. She shivered a little as I placed my hand on the base of her back, walking her inside.

“Home. Is this my home now?” she asks in a small voice, a voice so sweet, much like that of a siren.

“Yes Raven, this is your home now. Our home, as you will be the luna of the Shadow pack soon after the mating ceremony is carried out”. 

I could see the look of shock on her face, she didn't think the title of Luna could be given to her since she’s a latent.

My mate stared at me with curiosity, wary, lust and fear, but deep down I could see the fiery nature of her wolf buried within.

 It would seem that my mate isn’t a pushover. She can stand her ground if and when needed.

“Come let me show you to our room”

“Our room? We will be sleeping in the same room?” she asks with a hint of shock in her expression.

“Why of course. We’re mates, expected to sleep together. You didn’t think I'd let you sleep alone, did you? Even my wolf gags at the idea and will not rest until you're safe beside me”

“I…I…em…”

“Shh Raven, look at me” I said using my hand to bring up her chin so she could look directly at me.

“It’s okay, you’re okay, you’re safe here. No one will bully or maltreat you and if anyone does, they lose their heads”. 

I could feel her sharp inhale of breath at my words. I’m not one to sugarcoat words, I say them as it will be and as my mate she better start getting used to it.

“Alright Alpha” she says in a small tone

“You don’t have to address me as Alpha, just call me Ashher”

“Okay Asher”. This time with more power in her voice and a smile on her face.

“That’s much better. Now let’s go up to the room so you can freshen up and come down for dinner, our food is ready and you must be starving”. 

Her stomach suddenly grumbled at the sound of food, indicating I'm right. 

I could see her blush creep up to her cheeks in embarrassment and smiled at how cute it was.

I led her to my bedroom first so she could freshen up before coming down for dinner.

I had texted John, one of the members of my pack to let me speak to his wife, Pamela.

I told her to get some clothes, given her some measurements and all the basic needs of a woman before I arrived.

I had already shipped for some clothes earlier, I just didn't know she was going to be my mate.

Those clothes are not worthy of my mate and the future Luna of my pack.

I had told Derek to inform Matilda to clear out those clothes before we arrived.
