Scarlet’s POV

The dungeon’s damp chill seeped into my bones, the stone floor biting through the thin fabric of my dress. My wrists ached where the guards had gripped me, dragging me down here after Isabelle’s accusation.

The darkness was suffocating, broken only by the faint drip of water somewhere in the distance. My mind raced, replaying the scene in the banquet hall—Isabelle’s smug grin, the damning letter, Devon’s cold order. And that scent… rose oil and blood. It clung to my senses, a puzzle I couldn’t solve.

I curled into a ball, my back pressed against the rough wall, the cuts from my earlier punishment stinging with every movement. Blair whimpered in my head, her presence faint but steady, urging me to stay strong.

But how could I?

Isabelle had framed me, and Devon believed her. Luther’s protests echoed in my ears, but he was just one voice against a pack ready to condemn me. And the letter… I hadn’t seen it before, but its existence felt like a noose tightening around my neck

  • Sold to the cruel alpha    CHAPTER 10

Scarlet’s POVThe dungeon’s darkness pressed against me, a living thing that swallowed hope and sound. My scream still echoed in my ears, raw and desperate, torn from my throat when I’d heard the scrape of metal against stone—a knife, glinting in the faint torchlight, held by a shadowed figure slipping into my cell.I’d scrambled back, my chained wrists scraping against the rough floor, my heart hammering so hard I thought it might burst. The scent of rose oil and blood had been overwhelming, a sickening promise of what was coming.“Quiet, or I’ll make this worse,” the figure hissed, their voice low and venomous. The torchlight caught their face just enough to confirm my fear—Isabelle. Her crimson gown was gone, replaced by a dark cloak, but her eyes burned with the same hatred I’d seen in the banquet hall.In her hand, the knife gleamed, its edge catching the light like a predator’s fang.“What do you want?” I whispered, my voice trembling despite my effort to sound defiant. My back

  • Sold to the cruel alpha    CHAPTER 8

Scarlet’s POVThe air in the palace felt thick, like a storm brewing just beyond the horizon.Every step I took echoed with the weight of my choices—stay in this gilded cage under Devon’s unpredictable gaze, or flee with Luther to a pack that promised freedom but held its own unknowns. My hands shook as I polished the silver candelabras in the dining hall, my reflection distorted in their gleaming surfaces.I barely recognized the girl staring back—pale, bruised, but with a spark of defiance in her emerald eyes that hadn’t been there before.Mei’s words from the hospital lingered, a quiet warning: You’ve got a chance, Scarlet. Don’t waste it.But what was the right choice?Luther’s kindness felt like a lifeline, but the bond with Devon, faint and frayed, still tugged at my heart, a cruel reminder of what could have been. And Isabelle… her threats loomed like a shadow, her hatred for me growing sharper with each passing day.“Scarlet!”Lady Rosa’s sharp voice snapped me out of my thoug

  • Sold to the cruel alpha    CHAPTER 7

Scarlet’s POVThe hospital room felt colder than the dungeon, though the sterile walls were a far cry from the damp stone I’d grown used to.My back still burned, each breath a reminder of the lashes that had torn my skin apart. But it wasn’t the physical pain that kept me awake, staring at the cracked ceiling. It was the ache in my chest, the lingering pull of the mate bond I couldn’t shake, and the weight of Luther’s offer hanging over me.Leave with him to the Silvermoon Pack, or stay here, trapped in Devon’s world of cruelty and contradictions. The door creaked open, and I tensed, expecting another confrontation.Instead, it was Mei, the maid who shared my room. Her small frame slipped inside with a tray of food. Her eyes avoided mine, as usual, but there was something different in her posture—less hostility, more… caution.“They said you need to eat,” she muttered, setting the tray on the small table beside my bed.It held a bowl of thin soup and a chunk of stale bread. Hardly a

  • Sold to the cruel alpha    CHAPTER 6

Scarlet’s POVThe sterile smell of the pack hospital clung to my senses, sharp and bitter, mixing with the ache in my chest that hadn’t dulled since Alpha Devon’s rejection. My back throbbed, the cuts and bruises a cruel reminder of my place in this pack—a slave, a murderer, an outcast. But hearing Alpha Devon claim me as his after rejecting me? That was a new kind of torment. My heart twisted, caught between confusion and the faint, traitorous pull of the mate bond that still lingered, even after his cruel words.Alpha Luther’s eyes burned with fury as he stood between me and Devon, his broad frame radiating protectiveness.“You don’t get to call her yours,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “Not after what you did. Not after what your pack did to her.”Devon’s forest-green eyes narrowed, his jaw tight.“She’s still a member of the Bloodmoon pack, Luther. You don’t get to waltz in here and make demands.”I struggled to sit up, wincing as pain shot through my body. The thin hos

Luther’s POV I carried her in my arms as I raced down the stairs, people stared at me in shock as I kept running. I took her to the pack house hospital, and when the doctors had seen her clothes they were reluctant to take her in. “She is a slave, we don’t treat slaves.” The doctor had said to me as I stared in shock. What was this madness happening in the Bloodmoon pack! My pack the Silvermoon pack, doesn’t discriminate against slaves, maid or Omega! Everyone was allowed to be treated in the pack house hospital.“Is this how Alpha Devon rules his people?” I screamed at them, as the doctor looks at me in horror. “Alpha Luther… he said slowly as he recognizes me. I didn’t know it was you. Please bring in her.” I scoffed at his behavior.I would have dealt with him, but there isn’t any time for that, I laid her on the bed as they carried her in. I followed them closely, her eyes were still shut, she looked so pure and beautiful even in this state. I hope she will be fine.“You have t
