Chapter Seventy Five

A month later

My dad suffered a mild heart attack but I'd been too worried about him even after mom told me that he was fine that Leon decided we should go see him just to put my mind at rest.

We arrived in Lagos not even an hour later and immediately got into the waiting car on the tarmac. I rested my head on his shoulder and immediately dozed off knowing he'd wake me up once we got to my parents house.

"Hey babe." Leon shook me awake. "We're here."

I stirred and slowly opened my eyes then lifted my head and looked around. I was tired and I didn't want to walk so I just wrapped my arm around his bicep and rested my head back on his shoulder.

"I'm tired." I whined. "I don't want to walk."

"You need to exercise your legs sweetheart." He told me. "Didn't you say your feet get swollen sometimes?"

"Yes but..." I sighed. "Okay."

I watched him get out with tired eyes and then held out my hands for him to help me out which he did but I didn't expect that he'd carry me anyway.
