Chapter 3

Author: Crispy Coco
“Ethan?”

Liam stared blankly for a second, then let out a derisive snort, as if he’d just heard the funniest joke in the world.

“My uncle? The ascetic who’s never shown interest in a woman in his life? The Alpha King?” He shook his head, his eyes filled with pity. “Harper, you don’t have to put on a brave face for me. A forged mark doesn't make you his Luna.”

Every wolf knew that Ethan was an immovable mountain of ice. He controlled the global werewolf economy and was the absolute law of their world. Rumor had it he despised the presence of any female, as ruthless and unfeeling as a machine.

Connecting me to him?

To Liam, it was a ridiculous fantasy.

Chloe immediately fanned the flames. Her tone was syrupy sweet, but the words were laced with venom. “Liam, don’t be angry with Harper. I’m sure she had her reasons.”

She turned to me with a sympathetic look. “Harper, I still remember how you went into the dangerous Black Mist Forest all by yourself to get Liam’s eighteenth birthday present. Just to pick a Moonpetal that only blooms for an hour on the full moon. You loved him so much. How could you possibly marry someone else, let alone the cold-hearted Alpha King?”

Her words hit their mark, striking Liam’s deepest insecurity.

His expression twisted, the anger in his eyes now mixed with a warped sense of pity and an even deeper jealousy.

“Harper, I know you were forced into it, weren’t you? Did your father arrange it? Tell me, which bastard hurt you?” He stepped forward, trying to take my hand. “I’ll kill him for you. I’ll wash away the filthy mark he left on you.”

He paused, his gaze falling on Noah, who was still whimpering behind me. He added with disgust, “And as for this mutt, if you’re willing, we can send him to an orphanage.”

He thought he was offering me salvation.

He thought he was rescuing me.

His condescending attitude, his casual possessiveness, made my stomach turn.

I took a step back, pulling Noah with me and avoiding his touch.

“On what grounds, Liam?” my voice was cold.

“On what grounds?” My question seemed to strike a nerve, reigniting the fury he’d been suppressing. He lunged forward, trapping me between his body and the wall. His powerful Alpha aura pressed in on me, a suffocating net.

His gaze was possessive and commanding.

“I won’t allow the scent of another male in my territory!” he growled, his hot breath on my face. “Send the child away. I’ll help you overwrite that mark, and we’ll pretend… none of this ever happened.”

  • Sorry Alpha, I’m Your Aunt Now   Chapter 9

A few months later.I was relaxing on a soft lounge chair in the estate's rose garden, enjoying a rare moment of peace in the last months of my pregnancy. The two little ones in my belly were being quiet for once, letting me get through half a book.Nearby on the lawn, Noah was with Ethan, learning to control his growing Alpha strength. Ethan was endlessly patient, his large hand guiding Noah's small one, teaching him to feel the flow of the wind and the breath of the grass. The scene was as warm and perfect as a painting. This was my kingdom. They were my world. But that peace was shattered by an intruder. There was a rustle in the bushes, and a figure stumbled out. His clothes were ragged, and he carried the stench of filth and desperation that clung to all rogues. He was painfully thin, his face covered in dirt and scars. Only his blue-gray eyes were vaguely recognizable. It was Liam.He was no longer the proud Alpha. He was a Rogue—a wolf cast out by his pack, with no territory, no

Months later, Chloe gave birth prematurely.Perhaps because her dreams of becoming Luna were shattered, she was not doing well. After his mother's tearful pleas, Liam was allowed to visit the hospital under guard to see the child one last time.I knew this unborn baby was his last lifeline. He was probably clinging to the ridiculous hope that this heir, this child of his blood, might earn him a second chance—even just the chance to live as a commoner in the pack lands was better than being exiled to the Wastes to die.Hours later, the delivery room doors finally opened. The cry of a newborn baby cut through the silence of the hallway."It's here! The baby's here!" Liam's mother shot to her feet.Liam rushed forward, a desperate flicker of hope in his eyes. But when the nurse came out holding the bundle, a look of pure horror was warring with pity on her face."Congratulations... it's two male pups," the nurse said, her voice trembling.Liam eagerly pushed forward, desperate to see the

I agreed to Liam's mother's request, mostly because she had once been kind to me.As for the rest of it, I didn't care.Ethan bent down and scooped me up into his arms. His embrace was warm and strong, shutting out all the cries and chaos behind us."You're tired. You need to rest," he murmured in my ear, his tone gentle but leaving no room for argument.I leaned against his chest and closed my eyes.Later that night, a faint sound woke me from my sleep.I opened my eyes. In the pale moonlight streaming through the window, I saw a figure who had no right to be there.Liam.He was dressed in black, standing by my bed like a ghost. It had only been a day, but he was a wreck. A shadow of stubble covered his chin, and his once-arrogant blue-gray eyes were now just bloodshot pits of pain and regret. He must have found some way to sneak past the guards."Harper..." he began, his voice hoarse, like sandpaper.I watched him calmly, without screaming or panicking."Get out," I said."I'm sorry.

"Aunt."That one word, from his own father's lips, was the final straw. It shattered him.Right before my eyes, Liam’s world fell apart. He staggered back, his eyes hollow, as if his very soul had been ripped out of him.He looked at me, then at Ethan standing so close beside me, at the unspoken intimacy that hung in the air between us.The golden mark on my wrist, a symbol of absolute power, was a silent mockery of his four years of foolishness. He had lost me. For good."No! I don't believe it!" Chloe was the first one to snap. She shrieked like a woman possessed, her finger pointed straight at my face. "You conniving bitch! You hid who you were on purpose! You just wanted to watch us make fools of ourselves! Four years ago, you were begging Liam like a dog, and now you’re acting so high and mighty?"Her words were sharp and shrill, but they were just noise to me.My eyes were on Ethan. He felt my gaze and turned his head slightly. I saw my own reflection in his golden eyes, and the

The former Alpha’s slap left Liam completely stunned. The entire living room was dead silent. The man who had caught Noah slowly turned around.Ethan.He didn’t even glance at Liam, who was still kneeling on the floor. His cold, golden eyes were fixed on Noah’s flushed little face, his brow furrowed with a pure, paternal concern that softened his otherwise harsh features.“Doctors.”He spoke only one word, his voice low but carrying an undeniable command. The moment he spoke, two doctors in white coats rushed in carrying medical kits. They bowed respectfully to Ethan before carefully taking Noah from his arms.“Alpha King, rest assured, we will take good care of him.”My hands trembled as I took Noah’s cold little hand. The doctors quickly set up their equipment and began their examination.“How is he?” My voice shook.“Please don’t worry,” the lead doctor replied. “The young prince’s life is not in danger.”Hearing that, the tension finally drained from my body.Just then, a shrill cr

“Overwrite my mark?” I stared at his face, inches from mine, and asked coldly, “As I recall, only a formal bonding ceremony can overwrite an existing mark. Liam, haven’t you already bonded with Chloe?”Liam’s eyes flickered away.Chloe’s face fell, and she nervously clutched at the corner of Liam’s shirt.“We…” Liam mumbled, “we haven’t had the ceremony yet.”I was stunned.Four years, and he still hadn’t formally bonded with her.In that moment of shock, Noah let out a pained groan. The after-effects of the inhibitor spray were kicking in. His breathing grew more difficult, his face turned purple, and even the color of his irises began to shift, his black eyes taking on a dangerous, reddish-gold tint.It was the sign of a top-tier bloodline undergoing a forced awakening when threatened.“Noah!” I had no time to argue with Liam. “I have to get him to a hospital!”I tried to push past him with my son in my arms, but he blocked my path.“An act?” Liam’s face was a mask of scorn. He clear
