5. A Helping Hand

Ira's pov -

Thank God Salma Aunty is fine. The doctor told me that she will be fine and just needs to take care of her. When I told my uncle about this he was so happy. Then I left the hospital and it was already 7 pm.

So, I start the car and head to my home. I think my fever is getting higher than before as my vision is getting a little blur so I speed up and open the window of my car to get fresh air. Thankfully today's road is free.

Suddenly my eyes caught a girl and a few boys were teasing him. So I press the brake and try to get the situation. I was a little far from that place. So, I left the car and made my way there.

When I was a little close to them, the girl was familiar to me. Yes, it's Aayana. Oh shit! What is she doing here at this time? So I rushed there. The boys had already torn her shirt, when I reached she was holding her arm to cover her body.

Seeing her in such a condition my blood started boiling. So, I just held her. When she got me her eyes were so relieved. Then I open my coat and cover her.

That time one of them suddenly held my hand as I was already so angry so I punched him hard.

Then I said, "Hey, all of you just stay away from her otherwise I will show all of you your true place."

One of them shouts, "Hey beauty, don't worry we will make you happy also, and yeah don't worry about her she is going to be ours now or late"

What the hell are they saying? But I didn't take them seriously and as they were drunk I started to beat them. They were 4. At first, I kicked between the legs of the person who was close to me. Instantly I hold another person and punch him. Between these times one of them throws his bottle of wine towards me, I save my head with the help of my hand for the bottle there to get a cut in my forearm.

Seeing that Aayana screams, "Please don't hurt her, I am ready to do whatever you want"

"You just shut up. What the hell are you saying ?" I got angry with her. Then I saw some pieces of stone at that place so I picked those and started throwing them. They really got hurt enough to handle so I held Aayana's hand and started running to my car. After a few moments, they also start following us.

So we sped up and reached my car. After she enters the car. I also sit in the driver's seat and start the car.

Aayana's pov -

When I saw her in that place I felt so relieved. But when she started fighting them I got so scared for her and she also got hurt which I really can't tolerate. But for her intelligence, we manage to escape. But they were still on us. But she starts the car and manages to leave that place. After 10 minutes she stopped the car and looked at me. I was shivering in fear. I was sitting in the side seat of her so she held my hand and said, "Don't worry, we are safe now." I just hug her and start crying.

She also held me so tightly but between us, there was a gearbox. So there was a gap between us but still, I was feeling so good, the feeling was indescribable. Then she released me and started moving hair from my face and wiping down my tears and said, "Now please don't cry more, we are safe now. Can you please tell me what are you doing here? As you know this place is not safe, continuously we get bad news about this place and you are here. I mean seriously, how can you be so irresponsible, Aayana?"

"I was late to complete my work as today is Thursday so all worker's wages were paid then we need to count that and submit to you the report on Sunday" I replied.

"But what is your designation?" She asked. And I replied, "I am a Junior Accountant."

"What!! then why do you need so much time !!! As I know, you just need to make a status report then the rest of the work will be done by a Senior Accountant and Account manager, Right? Wait, I know what exactly is happening at my office. I will look at it at the next office hour." She was so angry.

So I just held her hand to stop her and I noticed her hand was stained with blood. Damn, I forgot about her injury. "Your hand is stained with blood, Ira. And you are not saying anything? Do you have any first aid boxes in your car?" I asked.

"No," she replied.

"What! Why don't you keep that? Okay let's do one thing, let's go to the office which is closer to here than yours and my home." I was scolding her.

"Why are you scolding me again? Actually, I was thinking the same but the fact is we won't get a taxi here. What to do?" She made an innocent face and replied.

"Why do we need a taxi? You just have a car, just drive to the office simply !!!" I was surprised by her reply.

Then she put her head on her seat and said, "Actually my eyes vision is getting blurred even hazy. I am unable to see anything clearly and also I am feeling dizzy. I can't take the risk to drive the car with you and I think you can't drive."

Then I saw her eyes were closing. "Ira! Ira!!" I started moving her face but she passed out and when I touched her face I realized she has a high fever even more than in the afternoon. I am really tense now.
