KAIDEN

As the elders of my council took their seats, a low murmur spread across the room. Some of them leaned toward each other, whispering in confusion.

“What’s going on? Why would the Lycan King call an urgent council meeting at this hour?”

“Do you think the pack is under attack?”

I remained seated on my throne, watching them in silence as their concerns grew. Beside me, Bradley looked just as puzzled, although he kept quiet.

After a moment, I raised a single finger, and the room fell into complete silence.

I took a deep breath, steadying myself for what I was about to say. The gods knew I would have done anything to avoid being in this position.

“Our pack’s Lunar Masked Ball is only a week away.” My voice echoed through the chamber, and the elders nodded, waiting for the real reason behind this sudden meeting.

“I have a message for you to deliver to your wives and daughters.”

Immediately, their postures stiffened. Some exchanged glances and their concern deepened.

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Battle of the Divine

CALANTHA Twins were supposed to look alike, right? Or at least share a few visible similarities. But in my case with Lysandra… there was nothing. Nothing at all.Sure, we had similar powers, but everything else was completely different. From our faces to our eyes, from our voices to the way we carried ourselves. There was just no way Lysandra could be my twin. I refused to believe it.Tired of crouching in the tight, dusty space filled with cobwebs, I tried to shift. My legs were cramping, and the urge to march out there and confront Hera burned strong inside me.But her next words froze me cold.“Now that you know more than you were ever meant to,” she said calmly to Tara, “why should I keep you alive?”My heart slammed against my chest. Loud. Hard. Painful.Hera was still sitting, her eyes fixed on Tara, who looked absolutely terrified.“You’re close to the Lycan king,” she continued. “He trusts you. Listens to every word you say. We can’t have you whispering secrets in his ear no

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Daughters of the Moon Goddess

CALANTHA“The myths and legends painted me as the villain,” this goddess—Hera, if that was truly her name—spoke, her voice laced with honey and velvet, warm and terrifying all at once. It wasn’t a voice made for mortal ears. It coiled like a siren’s song. Seductive, deadly, dragging your soul deeper into her depths before you realized you were drowning.“They say I betrayed my sister. That I lusted after the same lowly werewolf she loved.”That story… it sounded familiar.Hera leaned toward Tara, her eyes gleaming with cruel amusement as she studied the priestess trembling before her.“But they’ve all got it wrong,” she murmured, “At least... some parts of it. Shall I tell you what really happened? About how the Moon Goddess; own sister, stole the man I loved and tried to have me destroyed?”My body stiffened behind the curtain, my breath caught in my throat.Holy fuck. She was the moon goddess’s twin? The stories about them weren’t wrong after all? I couldn’t believe what I was see

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Hide and See

CALANTHAA MOMENT LATERI followed Chief Priestess Tara into her cottage deep in the woods. When we arrived, she paused near the doorway to take off her cloak and shoes. I lingered behind her, letting my eyes scan the space. As usual, the house smelled thick of incense and herbs, a blend of dried roots and burning sage. Strange objects hung on the walls—old scrolls, celestial symbols, animal horns, and crystals that shimmered faintly in the low light.A wave of nostalgia hit me hard, stirring up memories. My hand moved to my shoulder, right where Kaiden had marked me. This was the very place we’d sealed our deal. Where everything between us had begun. Now it could be the place that ends us.“You want a drink, my Luna?” Tara asked, her voice soft behind me. She was mixing herbs into a cup.I turned to her and shook my head with a tight-lipped smile. “I’ll pass, thank you.”She shrugged and took a sip herself. Then she came closer, slower, her eyes scanning my face with quiet concern.“

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Revelations and Decisions

CALANTHA Through the small opening of the door, I peeked into Kaiden’s study, quietly listening to what was going on inside.Kaiden was there. So was Queen Adeline… and her. The strange girl who claimed to be his long-dead sister. I watched in confusion. She was seated, Tara standing nearby, examining the girl’s eyes and analyzing drops of her blood she had taken. The air in the room was heavy with tension, and no one was speaking.I couldn’t make sense of it.Back at the academy, when Lysandra and I had caught her and threatened to take her to Kaiden, I had second thoughts right after. Her response, her eagerness to be brought before the Lycan king felt too suspicious. So, I let her go. On one condition—we would keep a close watch on her.Until the event that occurred that same night. Kaiden had come into my room while I was asleep—or at least, I had been asleep until a faint noise at the window woke me. When I checked, I caught a glimpse of Kaiden chasing a shadowy figure throug

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   When Life Gives You Lemon

ELOISE THE NEXT MORNING I halted my car in front of Cross’s apartment, taking a second to reconsider my decision before alighting from the car and entering into his apartment building.Once I reached the door of his apartment, I rang the doorbell, not giving myself a second to stall. Just in case I have a change of heart. I waited for the door to be attended to.For the past two days, I had been unsettled. All thanks to Cross and Nyx. After that day at the beach and my conversation with Calantha, I couldn’t help thinking deeply about those two. Thoughts like… what if Cross had actually changed into a person now? What if I was just being over protective, and the only thing standing between my best friend and the guy she wants? Although I still could not comprehend how Nyx had suddenly gotten close to Cross, enough that the both of them could be harboring feelings for each other, I would hate to appear as the friend who deprived my best friend of her desires and for no good reasons

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Pent Up Rage

CALANTHA“Please, just listen to me for a second, Calantha. Please!” Ivy pleaded as the guards dragged her and her family away, while I followed closely behind. We were headed for the cell. Ivy’s eyes were red and swollen from crying, and I tried my best not to look at her face. “I’m not asking you to forgive me, nor spare me.” She continued. “I hurt you and deserve every punishment that comes with it. Just give me a moment to explain things to you, Calantha.Please….”She tried to stop and reach for me but the guards pulled her away before she could make an attempt. My heart felt heavy in my chest, and I hated watching them manhandle her this way. But above all, I was hurting. Hurting from the pain of her betrayal. Intentional or not. My mind traveled back to all those times when she had handed me drinks and I had trusted her enough to drink them. Suddenly, I remembered the look of guilt in her eyes back then, and how she never really met my eyes. How could I have missed the sig
