CALANTHA

The moment I stepped out of my room, I spotted Bradley standing in the hallway with Hana, deep in conversation.

I quickly stepped back, pressing myself against the doorframe and straining to listen. Their voices were hushed, but I caught enough.

“How bad is it?” Hana asked quietly.

“Pretty bad,” Bradley muttered. “He couldn’t hold it in this time.”

Hana exhaled sharply. “And the Queen?”

“She’s restless. I’m doing my best to keep her away from him,” Bradley replied, then added, “I have to check on him now. Keep watch, okay?”

“Okay.”

Then, to my surprise, he pulled Hana into a quick hug before kissing her.

Oh. So, they had something going on.

But that wasn’t my concern right now.

Their conversation had increased my fear. Kaiden wasn’t just stressed. Something serious was happening that he couldn’t control.

My mind screamed at me to go back to my room, to stay out of things that weren’t meant for me. But my heart wouldn’t let me.

I needed to see him.

I watched as Bradley and

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   When Life Gives You Lemon

ELOISE THE NEXT MORNING I halted my car in front of Cross’s apartment, taking a second to reconsider my decision before alighting from the car and entering into his apartment building.Once I reached the door of his apartment, I rang the doorbell, not giving myself a second to stall. Just in case I have a change of heart. I waited for the door to be attended to.For the past two days, I had been unsettled. All thanks to Cross and Nyx. After that day at the beach and my conversation with Calantha, I couldn’t help thinking deeply about those two. Thoughts like… what if Cross had actually changed into a person now? What if I was just being over protective, and the only thing standing between my best friend and the guy she wants? Although I still could not comprehend how Nyx had suddenly gotten close to Cross, enough that the both of them could be harboring feelings for each other, I would hate to appear as the friend who deprived my best friend of her desires and for no good reasons

CALANTHA“Please, just listen to me for a second, Calantha. Please!” Ivy pleaded as the guards dragged her and her family away, while I followed closely behind. We were headed for the cell. Ivy’s eyes were red and swollen from crying, and I tried my best not to look at her face. “I’m not asking you to forgive me, nor spare me.” She continued. “I hurt you and deserve every punishment that comes with it. Just give me a moment to explain things to you, Calantha.Please….”She tried to stop and reach for me but the guards pulled her away before she could make an attempt. My heart felt heavy in my chest, and I hated watching them manhandle her this way. But above all, I was hurting. Hurting from the pain of her betrayal. Intentional or not. My mind traveled back to all those times when she had handed me drinks and I had trusted her enough to drink them. Suddenly, I remembered the look of guilt in her eyes back then, and how she never really met my eyes. How could I have missed the sig

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Mother and Daughter

QUEEN ADELINETHAT EVENINGQueen Adeline decided that tonight, she was going to take a stroll to clear her head. With everything going on in the pack, she just needed a moment to breathe. To think deeply. So, she strolled into the woods that surrounded the private stream. As she walked, she felt a strong sense of nostalgia and a small, sad smile played on her lips. She was reminded of the late king, her mate. They always bathed and spent time together here most time, enjoying nature and letting their wolves run free. All that was before the tragedy that struck their family—Raya’s death. After that, Adeline had become a shadow of herself, although she believed she had done her best to hide her grief away from everyone else. She was the queen. Her son and the entire pack needed her. She couldn’t afford to show any form of weakness. So, after Raya’s death, she barely spent time with the late king again until his death. And she regretted that she had been so closed up and in her shell,

NYX“Can you handle this for your first time?” He asked me softly. His cock twitched in my hand. I paused, my heart thumping so hard in my chest. My tongue hung to the roof of my mouth, unable to answer his question. However, my mind was down there.Real question. Could I handle something this monstrous for my first time? Or was this my cue to back off now?Swallowing hard again, I slowly wrapped my fingers around his length. It twitched again. My eyes trailed down to his full lips.“Yes.” I whispered without a thought, tipping on my toes and leaning in to kiss his lips. His lips felt soft against mine and tasted faintly of alcohol. The kiss only lasted a few seconds. Leaning back slightly, I lifted my lashes and looked him in the eyes again. I moved my hands, stroking his length and ignoring the way my mind screamed how bad of an idea this was. “Are you sure about this?” His eyes had gone dark now, his profile sharp. I nodded, still moving my fingers gently and steadily against h

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Nyx’s Bad Decision

NYXAN HOUR LATERI stood in front of the door, my hand hovering uncertainly near the doorbell. My heart was racing, palms clammy. I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment and bit my bottom lip. What the hell am I even doing here? Was I making a big mistake?I turned around to leave. Maybe I should just go home. Walk away before I completely embarrass myself like I always do.But my feet didn’t move.I groaned under my breath. Screw it. I’m doing this! With a shaky exhale, I pressed the doorbell. As I waited, I shifted my weight from foot to foot, suddenly aware of how nervous I felt. My eyes stayed down, fixed on the floor, silently hoping no one would answer. The door finally opened. And I looked up, only to forget how to breathe.Shirtless. Cross. With a towel wrapped around his waist. Water still dripping from the ends of his hair. His skin glistened slightly, his chest rising and falling slowly. Strong, built, broad. He looked like something out of a dream. Or a very sinful fantasy.

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Fear and Acceptance

KAIDENTHE NEXT MORNINGAs I walked slowly down the hallway, I came to an abrupt stop. My guards halted right behind me. My fingers were trembling, but I quickly balled them into fists to stop the shaking.“I’d like to be alone.” I said quietly. Quickly, they turned and walked away, leaving me by myself. The moment they disappeared from view, I let out a shaky breath and shut my eyes. My heart was pounding so loudly it echoed in my ears. I was nervous—more than I’d ever been. And I didn’t want anyone to see me like this.Just outside, the crowd was waiting. My people. All of them expecting me to speak. To give answers, direction, hope. I could hear their voices even from here. They were murmuring, whispering. Wondering what I would say.But I didn’t know what to say.And for the first time, I didn’t know how to face them. I felt frozen, like my feet had rooted to the floor. No matter how much I told myself to walk forward, my body refused to move. It was like I’d gone numb with fear.
