CHAPTER NINE

ARIELA'S POV

I watched from behind a wall to make sure there was no one moving along the compound. I had to be careful if I was going to pull something this crazy.

My heart banged with the intensity of a bullet train. It was the only sound I could hear beating in my eardrums. It was loud enough to compete with an earthquake.

Sebastian was in my bed dressed up as me with his fin painted in the same color as mine. It was a risky bet but it was all I could think of that would give me enough time to go to the surface and be with Eric. If I spent more than 3 hours then I might as well come back in a body bag.

Clover was doing his part by distracting the guards. He was a big mouth and as that he was the perfect guy for the job. Once his mouth opened, it didn't close for a second.
