I’ve been writing to my stepbrothers, Dean and Vale while they were away. It was easier, then I didn’t know if or when I would see them again. Now, they’re back home. Something about them is damaged. They no longer pat my head and treat me like the little kid they used to. No something happened to them on the field. They’re full of darkness. I should be scared and want to keep away from them. But I remember them as the teens that left to go to war. I know I can mend them. I’ve been doing it for so long. Yet, I worry my heart could get caught in the crossfire and end up damaged.

They were gone for so long, that I was wondering if they planned to come back. I gave up sitting and waiting for them, so I used my time to explore the house. I couldn’t go into dad’s old room.
