“Chocolate cake? That’s what you plan to go with?”

I met Jade’s incredulous expression with a calm one.

“Trust me a little. There’s no point in trying to go big when there’s nothing wrong with the classics. It’s easy to make; I’m sure you’ve made the chocolate cake before. I checked, and they give points for taste, but presentation as well.”

“Are you sure, though? It just seems, I don’t know, so ordinary.”

“Not ordinary, a classic, like I just said. It works, and a lot of people like it. I looked over some recipes online already. You’re the expert, so we’ll be relying on you to get the taste just right. Here, I printed them out.”
