Chapter 57

Laura was wearing a knee-length violet color dress with black stockings as she checked her purse and then grabbed an apple to eat while Steven’s gaze was fixed at her firmly.

“Laura, we can still talk about this,” Steven offered her as Laura denied his offer immediately. “There is nothing to discuss, Steve.”

“You have not even got your graduation degree yet.” Steven tried to argue but Laura stayed calm as she replied. “That is why I am just going to try my luck.”

It has been three days since she met Augustus outside the market and hasn’t contacted him after that and neither has visited her sister once. She had already made her decision and tried to work on it.

“I can pay the amount, you know that.” Steven hinted while feeling unsatisfied by her decision to go out and look for a job to pay for her studies and also to pay back Augustus all the money he had spent on her studies for a whole year.
