~ Anisel ~Later that night, I lay on the ground against the wall. Glancing around the cell, I heard footsteps coming my way. Side eyeing the door as a figure appeared in my sight. My mind immediately knew who it was. “Mia, you are not supposed to be here. Why are you here?” I said in a soft tone.“I sneaked past my servants to come and see you. Plus, I couldn’t sleep.”“This is a first. I am the one who always sees you.” I wanted to chuckle but couldn’t.She takes a wooden chair and places it in front of the cell door. Her facial expression was serious as she looked at me with dead eyes. “Why didn’t you tell me? You knew I had the regret, and yet you said nothing. I should have known it was you? Everything you said makes perfect sense. That trailer–”I wanted to tell her the truth, but I didn't know how to and when. I didn't want to break what we created. I didn't want any of this to happen. Everything I told her was the truth, and my feelings were real. I was scared of her reaction.
~ Jabrel ~~ A couple of days ago ~I woke up this morning around seven o’clock; I needed to know more about my sister’s future kings. So, I cleared my schedule and gave Mia my work for today. Good, she knows how to handle these meetings better than I do. “Are you sure you want to clear your schedule?? You have a busy day, and Mia will have extra work on her hands?” Lily asked out of concern.“Mia and I do this all the time. She made me take her schedule like last month because of the boys. She won’t mind doing this for me. Besides, I want to talk with them. Don’t worry; things will be okay.” As we were walking, I bumped into Hamon by accident. “Oof— sorry about that,” I said. Hamon turned around and immediately bowed. I shook my head and told him it was alright. He smiled as we walked away. Being the noisy person I am, I hid behind a pillar to see what he was doing. Mikhal entered the picture as soon as Hamon walked past a room.“What is on the agenda today, Hamon? Will the princess
I was thrilled when Jabrel told me he was going to save them. My mother has no right to go behind my back to do something so devilish. Now I know this isn’t for me; it’s for my mom and what she wanted. One day out of the week, my brother and I met at the throne room alone. Our parents were out on a business trip.“The two haven’t been executed yet, which is good. However, she wants the whole kingdom to see their deaths. So, she planned it for the day after your wedding. Who knew they were this cruel??” Jabrel said.“Only our mother as father goes along with what she says. We need to put a stop to this. They don't deserve this punishment.” Tears flowed down my eyes. Jabrel patted me on the back for comfort. I don’t want to marry someone I don’t love anymore. If I marry him, it would be like a prison I can never escape.Someone came through the doors as we talked– it was Matthew, of course. What is the problem?? I ordered him to leave as he cannot enter the room. However, he stated that
~ Anisel ~~ A few days later ~Jail cells are my worst enemy, especially this one, due to the harsh security. The Queen has some fucking nerves to drag us here while we sleep. I'm surprised she didn't kill us. As I was lying in this uncomfortable metal bed, I stared at the ceiling. I pictured my life if we took a different path. Would we still be here? Would we be dead? Would we be ordinary citizens living our daily lives? If things were different— would I have met Mia??Fuck. All we can do is just sit and wait. When I got up from the floor, I went to my cell door to peek out. Joshua was right across from me. “Josh, you here?” I said."Yeah— unfortunately."You can tell he has broken down mentally. He has lost everything from his home to his girlfriend. Joshua doesn't deserve this, either do I. His voice faded as he told me sorry. It wasn't his fault or my– it was the queen’s fault. She made us like this. If she ran her kingdom better, then we wouldn't have done what we needed to.Jo
~ Anisel ~I was thrilled to see Lily standing in front of us. She made sure we knew the plan and if we were aboard. Shit!! Better than sitting in this cell to rot. I got to thank Mia after this because this was her doing. The princess got everyone acting like they did not see anything. The guards are working under our command, and everyone who the Queen worked for. If that’s not a leader, then I don’t know what is.During the night, Hazel snuck in to see her boyfriend. I never saw him so excited since we were thrown in here. She explained that this plan needs to be executed perfectly. Not everyone outside the kingdom is on our side; we can not fuck this up. Once this is set, it is up to me to stop the wedding in time. However, I do not know how to do that.We have two days to get shit done. “You have to intervene at the right time, or it will be over. Mia is doing everything she can to keep you alive. But she can't end this wedding by herself, take that power and expel it.” Lily said
I met with Jabrel and Yuli on the outside patio; they instantly knew something had happened. "Your highness! What happened to you?" Yuli said."I have to tell you later. I don't want to talk about it." I sat down and began to snack on the fruit. "You two will accompany me at the rehearsal today. I don't want to be alone with him.”Jabrel bowed and explained the details to me for tomorrow. Hopefully, everything goes according to plan. He must stop the wedding alone, or else everything will fail. We worked hard trying to do it, and for them to not take that chance will be a waste. I know Anisel; I know that he will do the right thing. We continue our conversation and enjoy each other's company until it is interrupted.Matthew returned from whatever he was doing and escorted me to the venue. I wish I had a say in what goes into the wedding-- but it's already been decorated for us. Which means I don't have to stress about something I don't want to have.I waited behind the door for my cue
Good, they leave with problems, and I hope they make it on time. It all comes down to rather we win the war or fucking it's up big time. I lay down in my bed and closed my eyes. The following day, Hamon tapped my shoulders. Ugh, today has finally come.I stretched my body and glanced at Matthew, who was still asleep. Good. I slowly got out of bed and started my day with politicians. The people who made the law– I hate them. I sat down at the head of the table and crossed my arms."My lords, what brings you to my palace?" I mocked."This is not your palace until you have gotten the crown. Until that, you just live here, your majesty. We wanted to congratulate you on your wedding day. As you impress us with how fast you found someone." The person smiled.I did find someone, but not the person they think. I gave them a little blank expression, then nodded. "Thank you, my lords. Now is sitting on that throne and getting the crown." I said, smiling. The politicians looked at each other, "W
As we approached the chapel, a stage was set up for people to watch the brothers' death. My stomach dropped to my legs. I couldn't believe my mother would do this. We got escorted inside and to our spots. What are we going to do!! My hands got sweaty as the clock ticked by. Mikhal takes out a napkin to wipe them off."My lady, your makeup is going to be ruined. All you have to do is wait. Everything will fall in line." He stated.I don't know if his words will comfort me this time. That's when Hamon gently took me by my shoulders and made me look up in shock. He moved up and then down to indicate breathing. I have been paranoid since my mother put them on death row."No matter what, your majesty, we, your servants, will always be by your side. Marriage or no marriage, queen or no queen. Mikhal and I will serve you until beyond the stars." Hamon told me.Now those are the words I wanted to hear. These two have been by my side since I was born. The old geezers raised me and taught me mo
