Chapter 56: What I Had Let Be

Jarvis’s POV

I adjusted my posture on the chair, it felt too hot for the flame already coursing through me. I watched Elsa walk out of the building, like a mere coward, I huddled together in my office monitoring her movements through the CCTV.

My affectionate self must loathe me right now, it has been a struggle for me to keep to myself. Moving out of the mansion three days ago has been quite strange. Despite employing a live-in housekeeper, the apartment still felt empty.

I was lonely!

It was cozy enough, but I didn’t feel like myself anymore, I had gotten so accustomed to the ways of the mansion that being away from it feels like I was missing out on something important, what I am missing out on, I couldn’t figure it out.

A knock sounded at my door which was quite unusual, my secretary hadn’t informed me of any prior appointment or probably it was her. Before I even authorized it, the door opened with excessive force, in an amount that was unnecessary.
