Chapter 49

Peter's rogue territory was quite the distance away from Alpha Damien's pack and it took almost a day for them to return back from it as they had traveled by road. The next morning, the day had dawned and activities at the palace had begun to kick–off, it was about seven am.

The grand palace doors opened and Lucas and Andrea stepped in. She was a bit feeble from all the traveling and the emotional rollercoaster she had been subjected to, so she leaned her head on Lucas' shoulders and his arm wrapped around her, holding her close.

"Oh! They're back! Andrea is back!" A maid passing by was the first to see them and a beaming smile sat on her lips.

"Welcome back. You must be tired, I'll go get you water and food as well. I'll be back." She spoke her words in an excited ramble, unable to contain her happiness and she dashed to the kitchen to do as she had said.

A light smile was on Andrea's lips—a few months ago, nobody acknowledged her and paid attention to her, but now there are people
