Chapter 19 - Death

The gray shade of the clouds didn’t bother me from storming inside of our house and searching for my mother. There is a sign that it will rain, however the curiosity is too much that I can’t handle it anymore.

I’ve been a good daughter, yet, here I am, shouting at my mother.

“You’re my daughter, Devon. I don’t know what you’re trying to say. The moment that Alpha Antonio became your mate, you’ve changed. How dare you question me about being your mother?” she raises her voice, making me embarrassed and guilty. I didn’t mean to hurt her but I only seek the truth.

The curse is not accidental, there is a reason why all of us are entangled. Alpha Antonio read books and I spend time, digging about our origin but nothing essential is surfacing to support our assumption.
