Chapter 17

Felix said begrudgingly, "That's a luxurious place. It’s not for people at our level. Brother Alex, can't we just keep a low profile?"

"I'd like to keep a low profile, but my current capabilities won't allow it."

"Fine. Since you insist on going to the Drunken Beauty Restaurant, we'll just bathe in your rich aura today!"

Although Felix was helpless, he still gave Alex a thumbs up.

A man worthy of subjugating a rich woman. This pretender was indeed up to par!

The reason why Alex had said the 3 words “Drunken Beauty Restaurant” without thinking was because of Sukie’s influence. Back when he was still studying, Sukie had been fascinated by the Drunken Beauty Restaurant. At that time, he had checked online and learned that the per capita consumption of the Drunken Beauty Restaurant was more than 500, so he had a strong curiosity but never had the chance to explore it.

Now, he could finally go and see for himself…

Alex carefully drove his Lamborghini and brought Felix and Quinn to the Drunken Beauty Restaurant. They came at an unfortunate time. It was peak dining hour and there were no seats available. Alex filled out the queue sheet and saw that one of the differences between an upscale restaurant and a normal one was that the main dining hall, booths, and private rooms, all had separate queue number classifications!

After he was done with the form, the well-trained receptionist politely led the 3 of them to the waiting area.

At a glance, Alex saw that Sukie and Shane Locke were also here!

Felix also saw Sukie and pressed his lips, lamenting.

"What a small world, enemies really do cross paths!"

"What are you muttering about?"

Sukie came over, shot a look at Felix, and chatted with Quinn. After she learned that Alex was treating them, she looked surprised.

"Yesterday, he was looking for someone to borrow money, but today he dares to come here to eat. Isn't this a typical profiteer? Alex, you didn't win a lottery ticket, did you?"

Alex casually responded, "What do you care?"

"You…”

Sukie was speechless and her face was red from frustration.

Shane walked over and glared at Alex.

"Speak politely! Don't think that having a couple of stinking bucks gives you the right to disregard anyone. You better stop disrespecting my girlfriend or I'll make sure to beat you up so badly that even your mother can’t recognize you!"

Alex wanted to snap back, but the receptionist came over.

"Mr. Cohen, there's a seat available. Please follow me."

"Wait a minute!"

Sukie was not happy and rushed to the receptionist in a few strides. She angrily said, "Obviously, we’re the first to line up. What right do you have to give them a seat first? Is this how you do business at the Drunken Beauty Restaurant, without any rules? It's not just us, everyone here came before them!"

The other people waiting to eat were not vocal to the receptionist.

This was beyond Sukie's expectations.

The receptionist maintained a professional smile and said, "Miss, our restaurant has separate queue number classifications..."

"So tell me, how did you classify us?"

Sukie became even more infuriated and continued to yell at the receptionist despite Shane stopping her.

"You have to make it clear to me today, or I'll file a complaint against you. If you get fired, then don't blame me for not giving you a chance!"

"This is your first time dining at our restaurant, isn't it?"

"What first time? I come here often for dinner, okay?"

"Then you should know that the classification is not for guests, but for eating venue. Your companion requested a regular table, but the seat that just became available was a private room. Mr. Cohen is the only guest who has requested a private room. That vacant seat, naturally, should be given priority to Mr. Cohen."

Sukie realized that she had become a laughingstock. She lowered her head and kept quiet.

Shane's face was hot, so he took out a golden card from his wallet and said to the receptionist.

"I heard that members of the Drunken Beauty Restaurant have many privileges, including priority reception. Look carefully, I'm a Gold Member, and now I'm asking you to give us priority reception. That vacant private room, I'll take it!"

After he said that, Shane finally felt emboldened and stared at Alex with a teasing face.

The receptionist checked the membership card and was put in a difficult position.

"Mr. Cohen, you see, this situation…”

Alex noticed the words "Ryker Gardens" on Shane's membership card and was suddenly moved. Simply put, the Drunken Beauty Restaurant was also under Ryker Gardens?

Then if he did not do something, he would be forsaking Big Ken’s kindness.

Alex also took out his membership card and said to the receptionist, "Take a look, is this card of mine workable?"

Shane did not think that Alex also had a membership card. He snatched over the card before the receptionist took it, and looked at it repeatedly. He shook his head and sneered.

"So what if you have a membership card? Judging by the color, it should be cast iron, right? Between this and my gold, there's silver and bronze! Aren't you just embarrassing yourself if you take a cast iron to try and go up against my gold?"

"Our restaurant’s membership levels start with silver. There’s no bronze or cast iron."

The receptionist spoke and took the membership card from Shane's hand. She looked at it carefully, and suddenly, her eyes lit up.

"This membership card, Mr. Cohen, is not within the silver, gold, platinum, and diamond membership levels."

"So it’s a fake?"

Shane sneered again.

"Alex Cohen, you didn't fake this thing yourself, did you?"
