I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched Ki sitting in her office working. I called her name, but she couldn’t hear me. I wanted to get closer to kiss her or touch her, but I couldn’t. There was a soft knock in her office and I became mad but there was nothing I could do but watch.

“Hey, Ki, I know you like to work until late, but I have canceled your afternoon session,” Nick said and I could tell he was holding his breath as Ki responded not taking my eyes off the keyboard.

“I understand,” she responded.

“What?” he asked.

"There is a storm coming,” she said looking at him and he looked dumb folded.

“But?” he muttered before she waved a dismissive hand at him.
