Selena's POV

The heavy fireproof doors closed behind us, as we were the last ones to enter. I forced myself to remain calm and not let the fear take over. Luckily, another contraction rolled through me, a strange but welcome distraction.

Stella guided me towards a set-up bed, where several of the omegas were helping to arrange a makeshift delivery nook, while others were trying to set something up for the two pups in the pack. I scanned the room and was happy to see Alisa – Joey’s mate – there with her son.

“Alisa!” I exclaimed, waving the girl over. The small human female seemed shocked that I would talk to her, and walked over carefully as if she didn’t know if she should believe this or not. “How are you?”

“Despite it all, I feel very safe,” Alisa replied with a shy smile. “I was never prioritized as anyone important back in my old pack. You know, just being human and al

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 110: Ordinary Feelings

Selena’s POVRain looked like his soul left his body, hearing his father’s name. He went so still, I wondered for a moment if he didn’t like that I’d named our son after him. I’d only ever heard great things about Mark King, the previous king of the werewolves. And I’d never heard Rain say anything bad about him either, so I more or less assumed that they had a good relationship...I sure as hell wasn’t naming him after my POS father! And Azul, because Rain loved calling me his “Azure Angel” because of my blue eyes…I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could, Rain reached out to his son, caressing him while he suckled at my breast, making little sounds of enjoyment.“Azul,” he whispered, his voice rough as if he was trying to hold back tears. “I like it!” He grinned, smiling down at me as if I’d hung the sun.“I like it a lot

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 109: Birth of a King

Selena’s POVRain quickly shook it off, but everyone there knew what had happened. Whispers were already spreading around the reinforced walls like wild seeds spreading in the wind.Yet I was too stunned to speak. But not in the good way that some might imagine! Was this it?!Was this what it felt like for humans when they met their mates?I was--- kind of disappointed. My mother had always told me that she felt the earth move when she met my father. That it felt like the sun, the moon, and the stars had aligned. But I didn’t feel--- anything!Nothing that I didn’t feel before, that is! Because the moment he strode over, shivers ran down my spine. His lips crashed to mine in a passionate, possessive claim, and a wave of relief flooded me, powerful enough to knock me off my feet. His arms wrapped around me like a safety blanket, finally letting me believe that all of this wa

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 107: Luna’s Orders

Selena’s POV“Rain’s men are taking care of them as we speak, but just in case,” Xavier quickly reassured me, but his voice was still urgent. “Please go to the safe room!”Could my day get any worse?!You know what?Knock on wood, just in case...“I will,” I agreed, knowing that a human had no place in a werewolf fight. Especially not a pregnant one who also had a phobia of wolves...But I was still their Luna!“Clyde! I’ll need you to come with me and be my eyes on the outside,” I groaned, hoping to lie still for another moment so that Stella at least could get a better understanding of what was happening to my baby. “Xavier! Tell the Enforcers to lure them into the territory! Don’t try to force them back; that will only exhaust you. Use the buildings and the area! Get them to fight on your turf!”“Are y

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 106: Second Chance Mate

Rain's POVI stepped down, his cry of agony cut short as his heart was crushed under my paw. Blood pooled under him, and I stepped back, letting my wolf lick my paw clean. My enemy’s blood! They thought they could outsmart us. Outmatch us. Hell, they even thought they could bring magic to the table, thinking that it would give them an advantage. But ultimately, I stood victorious, having killed all who dared to oppose me...I mind-linked Elijah, making sure that Thor was dead and remained so this time. It was getting late, but if I had to, I would drag this fight out until the last of the rebels had been slaughtered. But sure enough, once the zombie-wolves were taken out, the battle was an easy win.So Victor was victorious too... Not that I ever doubted that he would, but the fucking asshole could have mind-linked me about it!Growling low, I quickly mind-linked my men at White Moon Flower, a

Rain’s POV“I’m talking about Throme’s bastard!”My wolf stilled--- and then growled low, trying to hide the smirk that tugged at my lips.Oh, the fucking fools! They were going to die – painfully!I stilled, letting them surround me until it looked like they had the upper hand. But what they didn’t know was that I’d left a small army behind protecting my mate and unborn son. As if I’d ever be dumb enough to let them be without my protection. And when I couldn’t be there myself, I sure as hell was going to make sure that there wouldn’t be as much as a hair singed on their heads. However, back to the moron at hand...“Yeah, I know all about that little bitch and where you’ve been trying to hide her,” Kendrick growled, clearly thinking he had me rattled by his little revelation. “Your little whore won’t be a
