Third Person's POV

BACK AT LIAM'S ROOM

The bedroom hung in silence like a held breath after Liam's explosive exit.

The echo of the slammed door still trembled in the air, a percussion that seemed to shake something loose in the careful architecture of lies that had been constructed in this house.

Avery turned to face Mr. Astor Sinclair, her silk nightgown catching the lamplight like water catching moonbeams.

Her expression was a masterpiece of controlled fury, each feature carved from marble that might crack at any moment.

"Listen, sir," she began, her voice carrying the deceptive softness of a blade wrapped in velvet. "I understand that what happened here was something that occurred unexpectedly."

She paused, letting the word 'unexpectedly' hang between them like smoke from a dying fire.

"But I would appreciate it if such situations don't happen again. Don't come here and destroy my marriage with your... interventions."

Third Person's POVThe silence in the bar stretched like a rubber band pulled to its breaking point. Astor Sinclair's face showed the confusion of a man who had just walked into a glass door he didn't see coming. His mind was churning, trying to understand why his son had turned the tables on him with such precision. The vodka sat between them like a mediator who had given up trying to help. The amber liquid caught the light from the chandelier above, creating tiny golden pools that reflected their strained faces back at them."You asked me what wasn't supposed to be asked," Liam said, his voice steadier now but still carrying the sharp edge of a blade fresh from the whetstone. "So I thought you might like to feel what it's really like when someone asks questions that cut too deep."The words hung in the air like smoke from a gun that had just been fired. Both men could smell the gunpowder of their mutual accusations.Astor's shoulders sagged slightly, as if someone had let some ai

Third Person's POV"I want to move out," Jackson said suddenly, breaking the silence that had filled the car since they left the arcade.Liam turned his head away from the road for just a moment to glance at Jackson. Then he focused back on driving, his hands gripping the steering wheel tighter than necessary."Move out from where?" Liam asked, though he already suspected what Jackson meant. The car passed under another streetlight. For a brief second, both men's faces were illuminated clearly. Then darkness swallowed them again."From the family's house. From all the bullshit and drama and lies," Jackson said. His voice carried exhaustion and frustration. "I just want to get my own apartment somewhere. A place where I can be free and we can have time together without hiding and sneaking around."Jackson turned in his seat to look at Liam's profile. The dashboard lights cast a green glow across Liam's face, making him look pale and ghostlike."Think about it," Jackson continued. "We c

His grip on the steering wheel was steady, eyes focused on the glow of taillights ahead. Jackson, though, had other plans. He sat in the passenger seat, one leg bouncing, eyes fixed on Liam’s strong hands.“God, you’re killing me with those hands,” Jackson muttered under his breath. Before Liam could react, Jackson leaned across the center console and crashed his lips against his. The kiss was hot, sudden, and hungry. Liam’s eyes widened as the car swerved a little..his foot slammed the brake just in time to avoid the bumper of the sedan in front.“Shit!” Liam laughed, heart racing, pulling the car straight again. “You’re gonna get us killed.”Jackson only smirked, licking h

Third Person's POVA sleek black car sat parked in front of the local arcade gaming center like a predator watching its prey. The neon lights from the building painted strange colors across the windshield. Red. Blue. Green. Yellow. The colors moved and shifted, making everything look unreal.Inside the car, Jackson and Liam sat in the front seats. The leather creaked softly when they moved. Their breathing fogged the windows slightly in the cool evening air. When Liam had closed his office earlier, he had driven through the city streets to pick Jackson up from the nearest public bus station. The drive to this location had been mostly silent. Both men lost in their own dark thoughts about what might happen tonight. The arcade building loomed in front of them. It was bigger than expected. Families walked in and out through the glass doors. Children ran ahead of their parents, excited to play games. Normal people living normal lives."What the fuck is he doing choosing this place?" Third Person's POVLiam glanced through his cellphone and saw the caller was Mr Jefferson. He slid his finger across the screen to answer it."Liam Sinclair on the line," Liam said in his professional voice."You know it is quite unusual. I called the right number but you answered like I don't know who I'm calling," Mr Jefferson said with a slightly annoyed tone."Mr Jefferson, are we really going to argue about how I answer my own phone? You know I wasn't wrong in starting a conversation that way. This is how business calls work," Liam replied. He was already feeling tired from his fight with Avery. Now he had to deal with more business problems too."Life isn't always easy to understand, but I get your point," Mr Jefferson said. "I'm calling to tell you that we are still supporting you for the chairman position.""And I've always told you to stop supporting me for that role," Liam said. His voice was getting louder with frustration. "How much percentage do I even have at Maddox Corp
