CHAPTER 42
The last words were a direct message for Marie and Chris and they started smiling. Isabelle’s cheeks turned red. It was so embarrassing the shameful way her father was pushing her into Billy Grayson's arms. But Billy found this idea rather interesting since he also thought the same things about him and Belle.
"Your words are music to my ears," he replied, looking closely at Andrew. “I was thinking of inviting Isabelle to the theater Saturday night. We can have dinner first and then go and see a nice show.” He turned to Isabelle. “I know you like music a lot and I'd love to go with you and see a musical. There could be heard a strange noise in the room... a weird song. Isabelle opened her eyes and looked everywhere around her trying to figure out what was the noise she was hearing. Maybe it came from outside... sometimes the stable guys while working were listening to music on the radio. The little song was still going on and Isabelle rose from her armchair. The hospital continued to be a place that kept sending chills down to Isabelle’s spine. The last time an ambulance had brought her father here, all their lives had been changed forever... and not for the better. At least, this time the situation was under control, as the paramedics had managed to stabilize Andrew after she had given him CPR. Once they’ve got back to the ranch the next morning, Isabelle prepared Andrew's new room. After what happened lately, she had managed to convince her father to move into the guest room on the ground floor.
