DAISY'S POV

My heart started pounding. “W-what is it?”

He hesitated, then finally spoke.

“Your father… he wasn’t a werewolf.”

My body went still.

“What?”

“He was a vampire.”

The air left my lungs.

A vampire?

No. No, that wasn’t possible. My mom was a werewolf. My pack was full of werewolves. I had spent my entire life waiting for my wolf….

But I had never shifted.

I stared at my grandpa, shaking my head. “That…. that can’t be true.”

He sighed. “I wish it wasn’t. But your mother came back to us pregnant, with you. She never told us who your father was. But I found out later. He wasn’t just any vampire, Daisy.”

I swallowed hard. “Then who… who was he?”

Grandpa’s face darkened. “He was one of the most dangerous vampires in existence. And if he finds out that your vampire side is awakening…”

The hairs on my arms stood up.

“He’ll come for you.”

A chill ran through my body.

Before I could even process his words, something slammed against the cabin door.

A deep, inhuman growl echoed through the room.

My blood ran cold.

Grandpa grabbed his gun again, his eyes sharp. but when we searched outside, no one was there.

SIX MONTHS LATER

The arrow shot through the air, hitting the target dead center.

I lowered my bow, breathing hard.

“You’re getting better,” Grandpa said as he stepped beside me.

“Not enough,” I muttered, pulling another arrow from my quiver. “I need to be stronger. If I ever want to shift, I have to push harder.”

Grandpa sighed. “Daisy…”

I ignored him, pulling the string back and releasing the arrow. It struck just off-center this time.

Not good enough.

I reached for another arrow, but Grandpa’s voice stopped me.

“There’s something you should know.”

I frowned, lowering my bow. “What is it?”

He hesitated.

I turned to face him, my stomach twisting. “Grandpa?”

He exhaled heavily. “Eastwind… was invaded.”

The bow slipped from my fingers. “What?”

My mind raced. Eastwind. My home. My mother.

Grandpa’s expression was grim. “The BlackMoon Pack attacked. They took over.”

I shook my head. “That’s…no, that can’t be. Scott is Alpha. He…..”

“He fled.” Grandpa’s voice was sharp. “That coward ran the moment things got bad.”

My breath caught.

Scott left them? He ran away?

I clenched my fists.

“What about my mom?” My voice was barely above a whisper.

Grandpa didn’t answer right away.

A sick feeling curled in my stomach. “Grandpa?”

He looked at me, eyes filled with sorrow. “Your mother is gone, Daisy.”

The world tilted.

I took a step back. “No.” I shook my head violently. “No, she….she can’t be. I just talked to her last week. She was fine. She was….” My voice cracked.

Grandpa placed a hand on my shoulder, but I shoved it away.

“This is a mistake,” I whispered. “She’s fine. She has to be. I….I have to call her…..”

“Daisy,” Grandpa said firmly.

I turned away, chest rising and falling rapidly.

Scott abandoned them. the pack was gone.

My mother was….

I let out a shaky breath, my entire body trembling.

Then, something shifted inside me.

The grief burned away, replaced by something sharp. Something dark.

Rage.

I lifted my head, eyes blazing.

“Who did it?” I demanded.

Grandpa’s face hardened.

“Alpha Noah.”

The name sent a chill down my spine.

I never heard of him before, ruthless, merciless, a monster who devoured weaker packs like they were nothing.

But why would he touch Eastwind?

I clenched my fists.

He took my mother.

And Scott, Scott, the Alpha, the one who was supposed to protect her, ran like a coward.

I was done being weak.

I was done waiting.

I was done letting people decide my fate.

I turned to Grandpa, fire in my veins.

“I’m going after him.”

Grandpa’s eyes darkened. “Daisy….”

“No,” I said sharply. “I won’t sit here and do nothing. I spent eighteen years waiting for a wolf that never came. I spent months training, thinking I needed to prove myself. But not anymore.”

I bent down and grabbed my bow, gripping it tightly.

“He took everything from me. And I swear, I’m going to make him pay.”

Grandpa studied me for a long moment. Then, slowly, he reached into his pocket.

When he pulled his hand out, he was holding a small, silver necklace.

My breath caught.

I knew that necklace.

It was my mother’s.

Shaking, I reached for it, my fingers closing around the cold metal.

Grandpa sighed. “If you’re really going after him…” He looked me in the eyes. “Then there’s something you need to know.”

I frowned. “What?”

He hesitated.

Then….

you need to practice to become stronger.

because I don't want to lose you

I stared at him. “don’t worry”.

“I want you to return very much alive,” Grandpa repeated. “Always make sure you're safe.”

My knees almost gave out. “yes grandpa"

Grandpa nodded. “Alpha Noah didn’t just attack Eastwind for territory, Daisy.

I swallowed hard. “Why?”

Grandpa’s expression darkened. “Only ALPHA Noah knows his reason.

A shiver ran down my spine.

DAISY'S POV "Now we prepare," Gabriel said. "Tomorrow, when the others arrive, we'll start making our challenges to the current leaders.""How long do we have before the fighting starts?" Noah asked.Gabriel thought about it. "Probably a week. Maybe less."One week. I had one week with my son before he risked his life to save the magical world."There's something else," Gabriel said hesitantly."What?" I asked, though I wasn't sure I wanted to know.Gabriel looked directly at me. "Mom, your magic has been growing stronger over the years, hasn't it?"I was surprised by the question. "Yes, actually. How did you know?""Because you're not just a witch," Gabriel said. "You're something much rarer.""What do you mean?"Gabriel took a deep breath. "Mom, you're a Oracle.""A what?" I asked in confusion."An Oracle," Gabriel repeated. "A witch who can see the future and influence fate itself."I laughed nervously. "That's ridiculous. I can't see the future.""Can't you?" Gabriel asked gently

  • THE ALPHA I HATE    CHAPTER 132: THE RETURN

DAISY'S POVEighteen years laterI stood on the balcony of our new pack house, watching the sun rise over our territory. It was hard to believe that eighteen years had passed since that terrifying night when we fled to the Hidden Valley. So much had changed since then.Noah and I had returned to our combined packs five years ago, bringing with us new knowledge and magical protections that Luna had taught us. We had built the strongest pack in the region, with both werewolves and witches living together peacefully. Our pack now owned three successful companies: a security firm, a healing center, and a magical artifacts business. We had become wealthy and powerful, but more importantly, we had created a safe haven for magical families. But there was one thing missing from our perfect life.Gabriel.My son had chosen to stay in the Hidden Valley to complete his training as a Bridge Child. For the past five years, I had only seen him during brief visits. Each time I saw him, he looked mor

  • THE ALPHA I HATE    CHAPTER 131 : THE ALPHA'S STRENGTH

NOAH'S POV Sarah smiled that same cruel smile Katherine had worn. "To make the Bridge Children powerful enough to be worth stealing.""You wanted us to do the ceremony?" Emma asked in horror."Of course," Sarah said. "Four ordinary babies wouldn't have been much use to us. But four Bridge Children with fully awakened powers? That's a different story.""You're sick," Jake snarled."I'm practical," Sarah corrected. "Katherine and I have been planning this for decades. We knew the Bridge Children would be born eventually, and we knew they would need protectors.""So you became one of the protectors," Luna said with disgust."I became the perfect protector," Sarah said proudly. "Someone everyone would trust. Someone who could guide you to make all the right choices to strengthen the children."Gabriel started crying in Daisy's arms, but this time his cry was different. It was sad and betrayed, like he understood that someone he trusted had been lying to him."Don't take it personally, li

  • THE ALPHA I HATE    CHAPTER 130: THE MISSING BETA

NOAH'S POVWhile we were preparing for whatever attack might come at midnight, I suddenly realized something important was missing."Where's Elias?" I asked Tom, looking around the pack house.Tom looked confused. "Elias? Your beta?""Yes, my beta," I said impatiently. "He was supposed to be taking care of pack affairs while I was gone. Where is he?"Tom's face went blank for a moment, like he was trying to remember something. "I... I don't know. I can't remember seeing him for weeks.”That made me worried. Elias had been my beta for five years. He was reliable, strong, and completely loyal. He would never abandon the pack during a crisis."Amy," I called to the young wolf who had told us about the spy. "Where is Beta Elias?"Amy looked just as confused as Tom. "I don't remember seeing him recently either. But Alpha, there's something strange about that.""What do you mean strange?""I mean I can't remember when I last saw him, but I also can't remember being worried about him being g

  • THE ALPHA I HATE    CHAPTER 129: THE RETURN HOME

NOAH'S POVThree months had passed since the ceremony at the Heart of Magic. The Shadow Master was gone, his power broken when the magical races united under the Bridge Children's call. But I still felt restless.I stood at the edge of the Hidden Valley, looking toward the mountains that separated us from my old territory. Every day, I thought about my pack - the wolves I had left behind when we fled to protect Gabriel."You're thinking about going back, aren't you?" Daisy said softly, walking up beside me with Gabriel in her arms.I nodded. "They're my responsibility. I left them when they needed me most."Gabriel was bigger now, and his magical abilities had stabilized since the ceremony. He could sit up on his own and his eyes had changed from baby blue to a striking silver color that seemed to glow in certain light."The Guardian said it's safe now," Daisy reminded me. "The Council has disbanded, and most of the Shadow Coven members have been captured.""I know," I said. "But I ke

  • THE ALPHA I HATE    CHAPTER 128: THE HEART OF MAGIC

DAISY'S POVWe ran through the Hidden Valley as fast as we could, but I could feel the Shadow Master getting closer. The air was getting colder, and dark clouds were spreading across the sky like a nightmare."This way!" Sarah shouted, leading us toward a path I had never seen before.Behind us, I could hear Katherine laughing and the sound of buildings being destroyed. The thought of that evil woman getting her hands on Gabriel made me run faster."He's tearing apart the Hidden Valley," Luna said as we ran."Where exactly is this Heart of Magic?" Nick asked Sarah."In the center of the Earth," Sarah replied. "There's an entrance through the old mine shaft up ahead.""The center of the Earth?" I said, my heart pounding with fear and exhaustion. "That sounds impossible.""So did invisible valleys and flying witches," Noah pointed out.Emma and Jake were running beside us with baby Lily, while Marcus and Rose carried baby Aaron. All four Bridge Children were still glowing, creating a tr
