VALERIE

Today is the day of My marriage ceremony and coronation day as the queen of the wolf tribe. I stared at the people clustered around my carriage not knowing how to react or what to do. "Look at the bright side of this marriage, being a queen is not a bad thing, you will have an honorable status , power and you will be able to find out about what actually happened to Vanessa" my Wolf consoled me.

"I don't want this!"

"But you can't refuse, do it for your sister " My wolf soothed me.

We finally arrived at the Beautiful and large palace which was also decorated and filled with dignitaries of the wolf tribe, it's the kind of wedding that any girl would dream of. I came down from the carriage with the help of my Dad who led me into the Palace and that was when my eyes met the six feet tall man with broad shoulders and muscular arms standing close to me dressed in a king's attire, his face was cold but that didn't hide his handsome features, his curved red lips made his V shaped face  so attractive, his dark long hair and broad shoulders  were alluring, how could I forget his doe eyes that got me hypnotized. He has a commanding Aura and  His smoldering doe  eyes which pierced into my heart made my heart flutter. I found myself staring at him with my mouth opened.

He has a face that would make any woman fall for him. But, there was something odd about him, he looked nothing like the pictures I normally see in magazines, that's because he wore a cold and icy look. He shot me a cold stare and I immediately shifted my gaze to the officiating priest.

"Do you take Alpha Tristan to be your lawful wedded husband, in sickness and in health, in riches and poor, to stay by his side as his Queen till death do you apart?" The officiating priest asked me .

"Yes, I will," I replied. I was feeling so guilty, it should have been Vanessa standing here and not me. I can still remember how much she loves Alpha Tristan and how much she fantasize about their Royal wedding and becoming the Queen.

It's so strange that she got hurt a few days before her wedding, whoever did that certainly doesn't want the wedding to be held.

The priest asked Tristan the same question he asked me and he hesitated before answering the question.

We exchanged vows and the priest pronounced us husband and wife before placing a crown on my head and the guests cheered up happily. I saw my parents face lit up with smiles and so was Tristan's Grandfather, Alpha Theo Blackwood.

I felt pity for the crowd that had been fooled by my parents, especially Tristan who thought he was getting married to Vanessa.

I felt sorry for my sister who's important day was robbed from her, she should have been the one standing here exchanging vows with her handsome and wealthy Mate.

"You may kiss your queen" the priest uttered and I took a step back from Tristan. I can't imagine myself kissing my sister's Mate  or should I say husband.

"What are you doing? It's time for us to share a kiss" His voice echoed in my ear, he drew me closer to himself and wrapped his hands around my waist and I shivered.

Thud thud thud

My heart was pounding so fast, his dreamy eyes pierced into my heart and his cologne filled the air. He literally made my world stop with the way he stared at me. Now I know why everyone wants him, why Vanessa always talks about him. His big hands encircled around my tiny waist did a lot of things to my body.

He pulled my face closer to his and I immediately snapped out my thoughts. I froze the moment his lips met mine. It was so soft and it tasted so sweet. I was lost as I opened my mouth for him. The kiss was so soft and I wasn't thinking straight, his hands around my waist became tighter as he pulled me closer to himself and I found myself wrapping my hands around his neck. You could tell that I just had the best kiss of my life.

He broke away, stared at me and then brought his face closer to my left ear, "this is just for the Guest, I don't have anything to do with a gold digger like you" He whispered into my ear and Smirked after that.

I was devastated and too stunned to speak, what the Fuck is going on?, Does it mean Alpha Tristan doesn't like Vanessa?" I asked myself without getting any reply.

"It's time to meet my family, you should at least know them since you are going to be part of this family" He said to me.

He  held my hand and led me towards the direction of  his family.

"What a jerk!" I cursed under my breath, I can't believe that the famous Alpha king is such an asshole, he should have called off the wedding if he doesn't want to have anything to do with Vanessa or should I say me.

Goddamnit! I know I have gotten myself into lots of trouble, as if getting married to my sister's husband wasn't enough, I was also getting married to someone who despises me. How am I going to cope?I will be dead if he ever finds out that I'm not Vanessa.

"Never! He won't find out until Vanessa wakes up and takes her place."

He introduced me to his Grandfather whose face was beaming with smiles and his step mom whose face shows that she wasn't happy to see me.  his step sister, princess Carolyn was sitting beside her mom and she also wasn't looking so happy.

"I want to introduce you to some dignitaries, I want everyone to meet my pretty daughter in law"  Alpha Theo said smiling, he led the way and I followed.

There were so many dignitaries at the wedding, so many Billionaires and Kings attended the wedding and I wasn't surprised.

The Royal family ranked the most wealthiest and influential family in the country last year and it was everywhere on the news,  I got so tired of faking a  smile and walking around, I needed to rest and my feet were hurting from the shoe I was wearing, they weren't my size and they were so tight, they belongs to Vanessa but I had to wear it since I was the one getting married to Alpha Tristian instead of her. The crown and queen's attire I was putting on didn't make it any better, they were so heavy that I had to make sure I didn't trip and Fall. "You should get used to that because you will be wearing them everyday " My wolf said to me.

I shifted my gaze to  Alpha Tristian who was exchanging pleasantries with some of his business partners and Associates. He looked so handsome and the way he smiled lit up the room. He was so comfortable and carried himself well.

There is one thing that Alpha Tristan is good at, that should be his ability to lead  and manage The Pack and Blackwood's companies and wealth. He recently won the youngest Billionaire and King  award and his pictures were all over the place. I could remember frank telling me how powerful he is and his  dreams of meeting  him one day.

I was at a corner watching everything that was going on when a purple haired lady in a black dress walked up to me, she was so dressed up that you could tell she belongs to a wealthy family.

"I hope you are enjoying the wedding you wanted so much, Loser!" She blurted out and made an angry face at me.

"Who are you?" I asked, I was so confused. From the look on her face I could tell she wasn't happy, I never knew Vanessa had so many enemies.

"I can't believe this bitch, you are now pretending like you don't know me after taking away what's mine?" She asked angrily while also trying not to create a scene.

"I'm so sorry, I'm tired from the wedding and I'm so stressed" I apologized. I can't let anyone know that I'm not Vanessa.

"I'm Fiona, Tristan's only true love!!!"

VALERIE The day I was banished felt like the end of the world. I had been led through the palace gates, my heart heavy with the weight of betrayal and heartache. I had lost everything, my title, my place by Tristan’s side, and my identity. The coldness of the stone walls and the quiet murmurs of the council that sentenced me to exile haunted me long after I left the palace, as I walked through the unfamiliar path to the unknown. I could barely hold myself together as the doors closed behind me, the finality of it all hitting me in waves.I didn’t know what would happen next. I didn’t know where I would go or how I would survive. All I had known, all I had been, was in that palace, by Tristan’s side. And now, that world was gone, shattered by lies, deceit, and forces beyond my control. The sting of the judgment burned deeper as I traveled far from everything I knew, haunted by memories of better days. Those days when Tristan and I were together, when the future seemed as bright as the

CARLI stood in the doorway of my mother’s chamber, my fists clenched at my sides, jaw tight with anger. The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension, and Lady Bianca sat at her bed, her back to me. She hadn’t even bothered to turn around as I entered, typical. She never took me seriously, but today, things were different.“Mother,” I started, my voice low but sharp. She didn’t respond. I stepped further into the room, my boots heavy against the stone floor. “We need to talk.”Still, no reaction. Her fingers continued to move through her hair, as if nothing in the world could bother her. But I wasn’t going to let her ignore me this time. Not after what she’d done.“I said we need to talk,” I repeated, louder this time, my voice growing more strained with every word. Finally, she turned her chair slowly, and her cold gaze met mine. Her lips curved into a small, almost amused smile, but I saw the faint flicker of something else behind her eyes. Guilt? Regret? No, not from her. Neve

FRANK I stood there in front of the entire room, my heart racing in my chest, every breath sharp, shallow. The weight of my confession felt like it was suffocating me, but I knew I had no choice but to speak the truth. The lies had been eating away at me for far too long, and the time to come clean had finally arrived.“I……I need to confess something,” I began, the words trembling in my throat. I could barely keep my hands from shaking. The truth was coming out, and there was no turning back now. My whole life had been built on deception, and now I was about to tear it all down.“I’ve been a part of something terrible,” I continued, my voice a little stronger as I forced the words out. “I….” I hesitated for a split second, knowing how impossible it would sound, how deeply it would hurt everyone in this room. But I had to say it. There was no other way.“I was having an affair with Vanessa before her accident,” I confessed, and I watched the shocked expressions on everyone’s faces. My

TRISTAN The heavy doors slammed shut behind Valarie as she left , taking the last shred of light from my world with her.I turned back to the council, my chest hollow, my mind reeling as their verdict was delivered with cruel finality.“It’s treason,” Councilman Eldric declared grimly, his voice a decree that echoed through the chamber. “Deception of this magnitude cannot go unpunished. By law, the penalty is death by hanging at dawn.”I felt my blood turn to ice.“No,” I said, voice low, dangerous. “You’re not touching her.”“She deceived the crown. She usurped the place of your rightful bride….”“She saved this kingdom!” I cut in, fury sharpening my words. “She held this house together when no one else would! And she did it while carrying the weight of secrets she never asked for!”The council murmured, some visibly unsettled, others remaining cold and unmoved. Bianca leaned against her chair, smug satisfaction curling her lips.Carl said nothing, but his expression was unreadabl

TRISTAN The council chamber was unusually tense today but for once, it wasn’t working against me.I’d spent the last week tightening every loose end, making backdoor alliances with the few council members smart enough to see where true power should lie. I could feel the shift in the air, the subtle glances passed between them, the nervous fidgeting when I spoke. They were beginning to break.I wasn’t about to let Carl and his scheming mother destroy what was mine , what my bloodline had built for centuries. And as I laid out my case, the room was quiet, listening. Even Carl’s smug grin had faded.I allowed myself the smallest hint of satisfaction.Good. Let them squirm.“I don’t care what rumors you’ve planted in the streets,” I told them, my voice low and commanding. “The laws of Blackwood remain unchanged. The crown does not go to the one who whispers loudest but to the one who’s born to it. I am Alpha Theo’s heir. And no amount of manipulation will rewrite that.”Some heads nodd

VANESSA The palace gates loomed ahead, tall and cold and impossibly imposing. I’d grown up seeing pictures of this place in magazines and news articles , the Blackwood Palace, the heart of power in our territory. It had always seemed like a myth, an untouchable world for people born with bloodlines thicker than gold. And yet, here I was, being ushered through those iron gates by a guard who barely made eye contact with me.I clutched my shawl tighter around my shoulders, the chill in the air sinking past my skin and into my bones. I wasn’t sure why I was here, not really. The invitation had arrived this morning, delivered by a pale woman with a stiff smile. She’d called it a personal request from Lady Bianca herself. And though my parents had urged me to refuse, to stay home, to rest , curiosity gnawed at me like an old, familiar ache.Because no one had told me a goddamn thing. Not about my accident. Not about what had happened while I was gone. Not about Valarie. Not about Tristan.

LADY BIANCA I watched it all unfold from my window , like a perfectly staged tragedy. The garden below had once been a place for the royals to parade their lives, a stage for whispered confessions and stolen glances. But today, it hosted something far better, chaos. There they were. The two sisters. The last time I saw Vanessa, she was just a girl , all wide, innocent eyes and too much fire in her spirit for a daughter from a lower rank household. But now… now, she was a woman. And one look at her, standing face to face with Valarie, and it was no wonder the entire court had been fooled. They looked so alike it was almost laughable. So this is how fate chose to deal its hand.I leaned against the window frame, a slow, satisfied smirk curling at the edges of my lips. “Well, well,” I murmured to myself. “Looks like there’s a little misunderstanding between our precious sisters.”I saw the moment Valarie’s expression crumbled and the heartbreak flash across Vanessa’s face. And I reve

VANESSA I didn’t sleep a wink. After finding that picture buried at the bottom of my mother’s jewelry box, my world stopped making sense. There it was, clear as day , a wedding photo. Not just any wedding. Mine.Except I didn’t remember it.And the woman in the dress beside Tristan… wasn’t me.Her face. Her smile. Her eyes. She looked too much like me for it to be a coincidence. My heart pounded as the weight of it settled into my bones. Why hadn’t anyone told me? Why was my name never mentioned? Why did my parents look like they were mourning at what should have been a joyful day?Why was my own sister nowhere to be found?I was done waiting for answers. The next morning, I rose early, the ache in my head still lingering but not enough to stop me. I dressed quickly, pulling on a long, pale blue gown one of the nurses had left for me and slipping out of the house before anyone could stop me.The guards at the gate recognized me, but I must’ve looked determined enough because no one t

VALARIE I stared at the untouched cup of tea on my bedside table. The scent of lavender and honey drifted softly into the room, gentle and inviting, like every other night since I’d arrived. It was supposed to calm me, soothe me to sleep. But tonight… something felt off.I didn’t know why I hesitated. Maybe it was instinct. Or maybe it was the way the maid avoided my eyes as she placed it on the tray.I’d thanked her softly, and the moment she left, I sat on the edge of my bed, watching the steam curl upward from the porcelain cup. Something inside me recoiled. It had been a long week . Carl had kissed me and I’d kissed him back. Then ran like a coward. I hadn’t even seen Tristan, and guilt weighed on my shoulders like a stone. Everything felt like it was tightening around me , the secrets, the betrayals, the past I thought I’d buried clawing its way back into the present. And now… this tea.I wrapped my arms around myself and stood, walking slowly to the window, pushing it open so
