CHAPTER 96

YARA’S POV

I didn’t know if I was supposed to be angry or if I should try and hold myself back because he was in pain. But he yelled at me. He wouldn’t talk about my wings and when I insisted, he decided to yell at me and that did it for me.

I wasn’t going to stand back and let him yell at me for what was originally mine for no reason so I had to make him explain. I wanted to hear his side and know exactly why he wouldn’t give my wings back to me.

So I followed him as he walked away from the throne room and I set my foot out to stop the door from shutting in my face when he walked into his room.

“Make me understand, Denver. Tell me exactly why you don’t want to talk about returning my wings to me. Tell me why you don’t seem like you want to even give it to me at all” I yelled at him and he groaned with his head still palmed. He was still in pain and as much I cared, there was nothing I could do except he gave my wings back to me.

“Yara, please, don’t” he began and I stomped my foot on
